QUOTE (redbabies @ Oct 6 2007, 01:54 PM) I also think that a great GK should be approx. 190cm. This plays a huge role especially in free-kicks and corners. Buffon 191 cm Cech 196 Van Der Sar 197 Dida 195 Frey 185 Casillas 185 Akinfeev 185 (this is why I dont like him very much) Although being tall is a definite plus for a GK, I rate Casillias much higher than Van Der Sar and Chech.

(IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I'm not too good at judging goalkeepers. They're either good or bad. But for me, I'd keep Dida, if we'd just strengthen our defence. Bonera needs to scale up, and those two need to play more together. Maldini-Nesta was such a strong combo, because they knew each other so well. For me the back-4 has to be Italian and inviolate(yes..old school) Tassoti-Baresi-Billy-Paolo *sigh* this was a huge factor. I think Carlo realises his back 4 is weak, so he's forced to play with an extra DM. It's a new habit he's picked if you remember. Earlier we had the diamond with Rino playing on the right, Pirlo his usual place, Seedorf down the left-centre, and Kaka/Rui behind Sheva and Pippo.

On man, we need a good italian defender added. Bonera is Okay, but nothim more then this...

Italian defense... you'll be surprised to learn that it doesn't make a difference to me! What made the "Alessandro's" stand out was their man-marking... ever since football adopted space covering tactics the magic was gone!! I miss man-marking!!!!!!! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) That's maybe when Kaladze would be good at... I think he can man-mark! He certainly cannot be a good modern defender! I wish Carlo would give him that role...

QUOTE (redbabies @ Oct 6 2007, 08:08 PM) ha? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Well, you're right! QUOTE (mishale @ Oct 6 2007, 11:04 PM) What european experience does Amelia(25y.o) has? Akinfeev despite his age (21) already took uefa cup and played few seasons in the CL. Plus he's a regular in the Russian NT. At least Amelia has Serie A experience. QUOTE (I_Rossoneri @ Oct 7 2007, 05:02 PM) Peruzzi is the man. He fits the categories(Free and old) and could sign early because he's out of contract. I bet Galliani's rubbing his hands already. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) it really can happen. since our club don't have much plans for the future and just lives with the moment, I wouldn't be surprised if we signed Peruzzi in January...

QUOTE (mishale @ Oct 7 2007, 06:35 PM) So what. Which is better than european? Amelia is overrated. Just because he's Italian doesn't make him any better. Well, whatever you say. but I wonder how Amelia, after all the good performances we have seen from him, is overrated, but a 21yo, who has never really played in a major league or competition, isn't... 21 is nothing for a GK. considering that in this position you need A LOT of experience, more than any other position. Maybe he's Yashin The Second! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I really don't know him...
