Guys it looks like we might have signed Torres. Atletico is ready to let him go. I mean did anyone read the papers today.... it's easy to figure out. Our agents have made a tempting offer I assume.
But i hope Arsenal will not get in the way... |

QUOTE Premiership - Benitez admits - "We want Torres"
Eurosport - Fri, 29 Jun 17:42:00 2007 Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has admitted for the first time that the club want to sign Fernando Torres. More StoriesPremiership transfer latest The Atletico Madrid captain has reportedly been the subject of a £27 million player-plus-cash deal sending Luis Garcia the other way. "All I can say is that Fernando Torres is one of the players we have looked at," said Benitez. Despite being frustrated in the transfer market - reportedly by the lack of ambition shown by Liverpool's new American owners - Benitez said he was optimistic progress would soon be made. "You must always be excited at the start of a new season," he said. "You must also have confidence in your team and hopefully we will soon bring in the new players that we want to make the squad better. "We are working on new signings all the time. As I've already said, the spine of the team is in place and now we just need to add to that." |
