Why is Milan called (in other languages besides italian/english) "AC (Milano*)"
*Name of the city - Milano - but in the language we're talking. For example, in Portugal I would say 75% of the newspapers call AC Milan, but the others call "AC Milão" (Milão = Milano in portuguese). In German, once I saw in DSF, AC Mailand or something like this... I must say I hate this. It's MILAN! If it wasn't the club should be called AC Milano by the italians... In bwin.com , our sponsor... on the portuguese version there's always "AC Milão" ... I've sent an email, but I think nothing will change... what a stupidity. Herbert Kilpin was the founder of the Milan football and cricket club in 1899. He was born in Birmingham.
A lot of foreign teams were formed by British ex pats. |

I hate it when Inter are called "Milan" or "Inter Milan", and Milan are called "AC". Or if you say you support Milan and someone asks you "which one?"
