Villarreal open Sorin bidding
Friday Jul 21 2006 12:55 Villarreal have confirmed that they will listen to offers for Argentina left-back Juan Pablo Sorin. The 30-year-old still has two years of his contract still to run at El Madrigal, but club president, Fernando Roig, says that Sorin is likely to leave for pastures new this summer. He said: "We are negotiating for the exit of Sorin this summer. "His sale is almost certain because of many reasons. We have several offers to consider." Both Bolton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Sorin, while Internazionale and VfB Stuttgart are also believed to be in the hunt. Sorin has been with Villarreal for two season, having also enjoyed spells with Paris St Germain, Barcelona and Lazio. He is a regular in the Argentina squad, having won 75 caps to date, scoring 11 goals since his debut against Bulgaria in February 1995. Football.co.uk |
