Once more: we should now give a chance to Boateng and Flamini, but as I don't think they'll shine and convince us we have a permanent substitution for our former star players, we will be forced to bring in new blood.

Flamini is still a question mark, but Boateng has proven in a very short term he is indeed a big club quality player. I'm pretty sure if Mourinho was our coach at the moment, Boateng would have started every single game.

Also if Allegri wants to explore an option without Seedorf and Dinho, I would really like to see this. Pirlo will get free reign in midfield, while Robinho can drift back in his favourite position while Pato and Ibra can drift closer to goal, with Ibra acting as the target an Pato can play off of.

I don't want to see Pato stuck on that wing though

I don't think Pirlo playing so high is a good idea. He lacks pace, which is essential for the regista in the 4-2-3-1 line-up. I'd keep him in his original position, and use Boateng as the offensive midfielder.

K. This will do for a start. Now sit around and try making a formation that will suit all these players to a T. A single stable formation that will also ensure player inclusions and that everyone gets adequate playing time. The new Berlusconi boys will also have to get enough time to play. They must also look good when doing so.

This is by far the best line-up we can afford. It has speed, quality, physical strength and experience. Pato wouldn't be relegated on the wing, we'd be playing with three forwards whilst still being covered in midfield. Boateng would act as the offensive midfielder whilst we're attacking, and Robinho would act as the fourth midfielder whilst defending. Flamini will be Pirlo's "water-carrier" whilst Andrea himself organizes the game from the back-line. Ibrahimovic and Pato will be interchanging positions, with Ibra acting as a sort of assistman (remember Chievo) and Pato being the marksman. Perfect.
