My guess...Juve have a huge chip on their shoulders about being 'wronged' about Calciopoli. They might be desperate enough to go all the way to CAS, especially with Conte being one of their old-boys.
On the flip side, if CAS uphold the judgement as well the embarrassment might be too much. So we might see a staged melodramatic 'resignation' from Conte while he 'fights for the truth'. In all probability though we have to assume Carrera continues with Conte on the background. Will affect them, but not too much. They're probably in trouble in CL though, where in-game changes count a lot. |

My sad, depressing, early league prediction for the season.
1: Juve 2: Inter 3: Napoli 4: Roma 5: Milan 6: Udine It doesn't matter about Conte, Juve's squad is a billion times better than ours imo - they are champions and whoever replaces Conte as manager, I doubt it will affect the team a huge deal. Inter have bought well and are on the rise after a poor period, and Napoli, despite losing Lavezzi, don't have CL to distract them this time and the Europa league is a helluva less important. I think it's going to be a horribly grim season for us. |

Yeah, it's ridiculous that he can still actually coach them before and after games. A ban should be a ban. If a player gets banned he can't play but a coach can still coach just not during games?

Was reading an article about Armero and others maybe leaving and it got me thinking about all the (dependant on your opinion) important players Udinese have sold in recent years. At the end of 2004-05 they qualified for the Champions League for the first time. Since then they have sold pretty much an entire team + subs of valuable players and yet remained a Champions League team despite Serie A now only having 3 spots. The figures may not be totally accurate as sometimes it's hard to work out euros€ and £ (all figures below in euros), but various sites seem to put these at the kind of prices. Obviously the team isn't workable in a real World, but it goes to show the quality they've had, sold and (in a way) not even missed.

Can someone explain the Julio Cesar situation?
How does one of the best goalkeepers on earth get told by a pretty wealthy Inter to accept a cut in wages, and then decide 'no' and end up at some bottom-feeding EPL side? Could he not have got a better gig than that? Why did they want to pay less. I respect his honesty in saying it literally is about the money, but couldn't he have done a LITTLE better than QPR? |

Of the very few teams that would offer more than QPR, they wouldn't need JC anyway. Though I'm with you in that I don't understand why Inter don't want him anymore.

Does that make him magnificent like Iker and Buffon, though? Hart needs to perform like this for another 10 years to be compared with those two. but he's an English keeper so I wouldn't bet on it.

2. Buffon 3. Hart For me that's the order. I don't think nationality has any bearing on things. Hart is one of the most confident footballers I know of, especially for a keeper. |

I really feel bad. I just can't forget the Serie A of my youth. I may be boring to you guys, but the golden times...when you had like 6-7 teams competing for the scudetto, all filled with both domestic and international stars.

Maybe a penalty but not a red card. He was pushed by Danilo to the direction of the keeper and the players already caught him. It's a yellow at best.

At second look, the Danilo foul was outside the box. If not for that push, Giovinco wouldn't be flying into the keeper. But it's not a red card no matter how you look at it. |
