QUOTE (William405 @ Nov 21 2010, 01:06 PM) I'm interested to see for how long your streak will continue, more than the match honesty (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) . (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Anyway, I'd like to see this line-up Abate--Nesta--Thiago--Zambro Flamini--Ambro--Boateng Seedorf Ibra-Robinho If Pirlo is fit he should start ahead of Boateng.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 21 2010, 02:17 PM) Antonini instead of Zambro if possible. Isn't Antonini injured? And I'd still play Zambro on one side no matter what. Either one of Abate/Antonini and Zambro on the opposite side

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 21 2010, 03:28 PM) In a decisive game as this? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) it's not decisive. We will survive the CL. But we cannot afford to lose points in the Serie A. He is very tired and now we're asking him to play 3 times a week

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 21 2010, 03:13 PM) My line-up: Abbiati Abate - Nesta - T. Silva - Antonini Flamini - Pirlo - Ambrosini Seedorf Robinho - Ibrahimovic All I'm asking is no Gattuso.Isn't that everyone's wish? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Also Gazzetta have Pirlo out until week 14 which is the Samp game next weekend. You think he'll be ready for this one? QUOTE (ForzaMaldini @ Nov 21 2010, 03:18 PM) Ibra should be rested. Sorry but that can't happen at this point, hopefully we close this one out quickly and Allegri brings on Dinho to replace him. Although I can't see Allegri taking Ibra off, he usually makes him play the whole 90 and takes off Robinho (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 21 2010, 04:14 PM) I don't know, but if he can play, I doubt Allegri will keep him out as a precaution in such an important game as this one. Agreed there, hopefully he can play... If not Boateng better start (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Nov 22 2010, 05:56 PM) Because he keeps playing Gattuso, though we are winning our matches? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Djeez... We're winning in spite of that little fact. And thanks to Ibra (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

QUOTE MILANELLO - Milan’s preparation for the match against Auxerre in Round 5 of the Champions League group stage came to end this morning as the team had its final training session, starting at 11.00 CET, before travelling to France.
The first part of the session was dedicated to the warm-up, which included some light running, sprints and stretching, as well as a series of exercises with the ball.
Coach Allegri then handed out the bibs to his players and had them work on tactics with the game against Jean Fernandez’s side in mind. The practice ended with a match amongst the squad.
Antonini and Pirlo trained separately. Oddo did running along the perimeter of one of the fields at Milanello.
At the end of the session, coach Allegri named his squad for the match against Auxerre, calling up the following players:
Abbiati, Amelia, Roma, Bonera, Jankulovski, Nesta, Papastathopoulos, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta, Yepes, Abate, Ambrosini, Boateng, Flamini, Gattuso, Seedorf, Strasser, Merkel (n. 52); Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Ronaldinho.
Unavailable: Antonini, Oddo, Pirlo, Inzaghi, Pato.
The team’s flight to Auxerre is scheduled to take off at 16.30 CET at the Malpensa International Airport. Arrival in the French town is expected at around 17.40 CET. Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is holding his pre-game press conference at 18.30 CET at the Abbé-Deschamps Stadium, the venue of the match tomorrow http://www.acmilan.com/en/news/show/130848Nice to see Merkel being included, but again!!! no other striker? Are all the primavera strikers injured? I would have thought at least take one along, not to expect miracles from but incase of injury to be able to keep same formation/strategy, or just to give someone a rest 3/4 way through. And then, even, who knows what can happen when you throw an unknown (to the opposition team) into the fray. Just seems overly risky to only have three forwards! Fingers crossed. Forza Milan!

That was my logic. It may have been false with Flamini, but I still stick with that reasoning.

I think it's more Allegri being afraid, the guy is terrified of taking Ibra off when we're leading, that's why he plays 90 minutes in every game. And why he takes so long to even start getting players to warm up

I would prefer ronaldinho over robinho and boateng over gattuso any day and I think that is our best formation, robino is preforming very bad loosing a lot of balls he was flop of the match against brasil and against fiorentina eand he still plays because he runs but we need a smart player like ronaldinho to create chances not just ruin oposites game and wait until ibra scores with ronie on the team we will have at leas 5 chances i guarantee that and without gatusa we are complet team couse with gatuso is like playing always 10 vs 11 when ever we have the ball its a big hendicap I dont know how cant u see that he is making fool of u gussys just couse he is runing and makes some stupoid tuckles and makes some gestures for the fansto go wild and everyone thinks he is trying hard but instead he iis the weakest point on our team. but what the f... my words are not counted so I just wanted to expres my opinion

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 23 2010, 08:11 PM) Now now, you're making Allegri a chicken there. The guy has his complexities, but when it comes to courage, I have nothing to say to him. Benching Seedorf three times in a row and now Ronaldinho five times says everything. In terms of handling his players yes, but when it comes to making decisions during a match, I wouldn't say he has any courage in that respect. Also Dinho and Seedorf aren't going to make the big fuss that say Ibra or Robinho would make if they're benched for that ammount of games. Seedorf can be an egotistical @ss when he wants to be but he tries to take the high road on most occasion. Dinho also is not someone that talks smack to the press. QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 23 2010, 08:30 PM) Robinho >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ronaldinho I wouldn't go that far (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) On current form it's Robs=Dinho Robinho just runs more and puts in more effort

Our only tactic is to play a long ball.. That midfield is really poor when it comes to actually doing something with the ball

Terrible first half from us. No build up, can't control the game are letting Auxerre get too much chances.
Bring in Dinho and Boateng in the 2nd half.

Bring in Dinho and Boateng in the 2nd half. Terrible may be a little drastic. Its not like we conceded, yet. We have not controlled proceedings by way of creating guilt edge chances, but the chances that they've gotten have been fortuitous, and haven't struck me as particularly deadly or clear cut. They're exactly the kind of half-chance opportunities you can't help but concede sometimes, but they haven't quite looked like scoring.. And boateng i agree with. if you mean dinho for seedorf, then perhaps - but i don't think dorf has been the problem. but dinho for robinho is a no-no. Ibra would then have two, withdrawn midfielders to drop the ball off to, and no1 other than flamini running past him into the box. Robinho plays higher up the field than Dinho. Taking him off for Dinho's withdrawn long-ball game would only isolate Ibra more.

Auxerre were very motivated in the first half, for them this is a dog fight for Europa League as such they are glaring their fangs at us. But I think Allegri has finally got a formation that ticks, it still needs to gel well with Robinho. Abbiati and the defense as a whole have been superb; take Gigi as an example, he isn't as fast nor has he the physical mass to out beat whatever he faces on Auxerre's right flank, but he meets it with experience! The way he outmaneuvers the opposition and wins those technical fouls, now that was the Zambrotta of Juventus (IMG: style_emoticons/default/king.gif) My assessment of the first half is that we contained them for 45 minutes, with the help of Abiatti and a fortress of a defense. Our midfield was aggressive and eager to bring Auxerre back down to earth. Yet our attack just cant click, Robinho has great work rate and I appreciate him running back to stop counters (something Ibrahimovic didn't bother to do), yet he isn't in-sync with the language the team was speaking.

u see what alegri is doing people he is much worst than lenoardo if lenardo had ibra and boateng in his team qe qould been playing the best football, and what i liked most couse he told gatusso find another club couse u have no clue in football, i think alegri is making us a team qho qill just run to defend e tu ruin oponnets game, u see how auxere looks superior to milan couse in midfiled is gatuso ambro who are not good with the ball if we change ronie with ambro and ronie to seedorfs plays and seedorf in ambro plays and change gatuso with boateng I belive that we will win

Taking him off for Dinho's withdrawn long-ball game would only isolate Ibra more. Ibra is already isolated. Also I'd dop Seedorf into that Pirlo role and play Dinho behind the strikers. We're really struggling to control the game, the chances they had only came because we kept losing the ball in our own half. Our only tactic consists of launching long balls, and maybe Seedorf playing in a ball if he's lucky enough to receive it in a decent position. Those 3 DMs are killing our entire game Also what I saw was terrible, we're playing Auxerre, not Real. We've been seeing this same cr@p every week in Serie A but we managed to win the games thanks to Ibra. So far he hasn't pulled anything out of his @ss, so I can't see us winning with this system until he does that. Thankfully Real are doing us a huge favour by winning, I really don't want to see us taking this into the last game

Second half shows you the whole story. Milan keeping the ball but producing nothing, Auxerre waiting for a pacey counter strike.

Thankfully Real are doing us a huge favour by winning, I really don't want to see us taking this into the last game Ibra is already isolated, so is Robinho. I wouldn't disagree with putting Seedorf in the midfield and Dinho behind Robinho and Ibra, which would mean sacrificing 2 of our 3 defensive midfielders (if you include the Boateng substitution). I don't think such wholesale midfield changes, with our current manager, are likely to happen - even though I wouldn't disagree with them. And Inter won the Scudetto several times with Ibra, playing in this crappy way. It is a proven, winning system (at least in Italy). Obviously in Europe it isn't...
