QUOTE (Zed.D @ Aug 17 2010, 06:35 AM) *sigh* Once upon a time this was a contest between the 1st and 2nd most successful Serie A sides... And there was that hole curse thing about the winner not winning the Serie A. Which shows how powerful and dominant the 2 teams were, now they're not even title contenders

QUOTE (d'Arc.LP @ Aug 19 2010, 12:02 PM) I guess Boateng will have his chance to play in this game. I'd really like to see what he'll bring into our midfield. He's pacy, strong and powerful while having decent technique and can finish chances as well. A 4-3-3 with him, Pirlo and Flamini in midfield could be really interesting.

QUOTE (d'Arc.LP @ Aug 21 2010, 04:31 PM) FORWARDS: Borriello, Huntelaar, Inzaghi, Oduamadi, Ronaldinho. We probably will start with Ronaldinho, Borriello and Odu. Then the backup forwards are two poachers. This is annoying, will be the whole season long like that. Anyway, T.Silva and Sokratis probably will be the central defense. Both I like very much, let's see how they play together. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Mourinho? No, I won't miss him. I might miss my daughter, I might miss a beautiful woman, it would be serious if I missed him, though." (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Looks like our coach has a funny side, too. I like it (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) -------------------------- Where is Verdi? is he still injured? Based on preseason games, I like Verdi more than Odu because somehow he reminds me of Sheva. He should get stronger physically, though.

QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Aug 22 2010, 05:35 PM) Why? I think it's a good idea to see how they fare, this is the chance for Allegri to try things out because once the season starts there will be no room for experimenting. I do think it's important that if we do play Seedorf and Pirlo both in midfield, Ambro/Flamini need to play in front of the defence. Not Pirlo

QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Aug 22 2010, 07:36 PM) That's some awesome stream, thank you han.
I really don't like playing the Seedorf, Pirlo and Ambrosini midfield. Does anyone know if Flamini isn't match fit? He is on the bench. I think he's fit, we'll probably see him and Ambro each get a half. We'll see how the trio do. At one point it did work, it worked like magic, but like I said in the other thread they were 5 years younger and could handle it.

All Borriello has done in the game is lean on his marker pretty much. Sokratis sure looks like he can be a real gem in our back line, great signing.

Thiago, Bonera, Sokratis, Dinho and Antonini were our best players by far imo. Pirlo was ok and made some nice moves but he's still not 100%, Seedorf as well made some nice plays and could have scored a stunning volley, but he looks very slow. Now I don't know if it's fitness related or just him running out of steam.
Boriello was average, same goes for Ambro.
Odu is very pacy and never makes stupid passes that cost us possession but his final touch was pretty aweful, there were 2 occasions where he had opportunities to score off of Dinho assists but wasted them because of bad first touches.
Going back to Bonera, he was very good defensively, but the big problem is that he cannot cross, so he was getting into great positions, and blasting crosses to the other flank, then he seemed to give up on crossing it, so he ran into dead ends and passed the ball back to a midfielder. This is why, imo a CB playing as RB in not really a good idea.
Also Dinho at the end of the match were he was shirtless should drop all conversations about weight issues
