Well... It was ****ing cold outside... My butt is frozen right now... but I celebrated the new year with the crazy New York crowd... It was fun. Damn cold though.

In the US, it's considered appropriate to leave a tip of around 15% at restaurants. Bars aren't quite under the same unwritten rule, but if your pint of lager costs $8, you'd probably leave the barman one of the two $1 bills you get in change.
