Heads to roll: Carlo ancelotti: Unable to do anything, making constant mistakes on formation Galliani! Seedorf: Slow, Lazy, always losing ball... Bonera: never was a summer transfer for me... just go away! Borriello Braida, for vacationing in Argentina, doing nothing

QUOTE (mchanna @ Nov 21 2006, 11:08 PM) Seedorf: Slow, Lazy, always losing ball... Nope, don`t take it out on him! He isn`t the only one from the starting 11 (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) QUOTE (mchanna @ Nov 21 2006, 11:08 PM) Bonera: never was a summer transfer for me... just go away! Borriello These are "minor creatures"...unimportant and not the time worth. They have nothing to do with the crisis, just that they are on the wrong place in the wrong time (we allways had that kind off players and allways will have, but not with that artificial significance they have now).

QUOTE (bigmacmtl @ Nov 21 2006, 11:14 PM) well we can continue to say that but for now we cant FIRE the players. and it is obvious a change must be made right away followed by other changes such as useless players such as boriello,simic... I don`t blame Ã…Â imić particullary for anything...And it would not be fair to say he is fault for anything...

QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Nov 21 2006, 04:15 PM) Are you kidding? Is that even a real question? What's causing the problems? The 40 year old Costacurta, 38 year old Maldini, 36 year old Cafu, 35 year old Serginho, the always unfit Ambro ( I don't even count him as a Milan player anymore...) Horrible horrible management and their horendous transfer marketing... Not enought depth on the bench... Worn out players with no rest and desire... Weak attack... Having Boriello as our fourth striker. Buying an unfit player as Sheva's replacement.... Losing Stam... Not having enough youth and flare... I mean how many times do we have to repeat ourselves? Solutions? Transfer some great players ASAP and we'll see what we can do from there until next season... Great post, but you forgot one thing, the departure of rui costa, the man that lead milan to win the champions league in the 02/03 season.

I KNOW about the ageing players and lack of transfers i'm not stupid i was asking you to look deeper than lets throw millions of €'s at the problem. if we have youth devolpment programs why aret they producing anything? surely something is wrong there i know this won't solve are current problems but what i'm saying is the surely the club isn't short-sighted enough to see that the old players were degenerating and should make the effort to produce atleast 1-2 home grown players to fit into the milan system and replace our older great players!!

So you ask a question to which you already know the answer? Is that some sort of trick to make you look smarter than others? I really could care less about how many our youth players make it to our squad... We are not Ajax... There will always be a couple players that will make it and that will be enough. My solution is not throwing millions at famous players... We could spend less and still buy great players with great potential. Like Gourcuff. There are so many young and promising players out there that would make great subs! Players who don't necessarily cost that much right now...

Let's put it this way: we are doing absoultely crap, it doesn't matter if we hit too many posts or the referees are against us, we are having a horrible period. Solutions? Plenty of them. First of all we should sign AT LEAST 3 quality players in January. A RB is needed, also a heavy forward (at least get Di Natale, he's cheap) and a holding midfielder. With these sigings and the Christmas pause I think we should be ready for the second half of the season. Now, if we don't manage to qualify for the next Champions League, which would be catastrophic, I think heads should roll. The first of all has to be Carlo. I know we keep saying he isn't guilty cause the board didn't provide him a quality bench, but every manager has to keep his responsability. If we don't gain the 3rd or 4th place in May, I think he should resign by himself and not the board to fire him. That way at least he will accept the part of his mistakes. Now, Champions or not, we should REBUILD the team next summer. Simic, Bonera, Costacurta, Cafu, Seedorf and Borriello should all leave, and get YOUNG and QUALITY replacement. Stop it with these cheap and old players, we've had enough. These should be the steps to get out of the crisis in my opinion. For this season let's all rest in peace. We can't win anything, I'm sorry to say it. Let's just hope we gain at least the 4th place.

BTW, the only two clubs that can actully do that , that you see 2-3 players for year, are *ajax amsterdam *barcelona fc -this are the clubs with the best youth camps in the world... sorry , milan is not that kind of club , milan doesn't raise them, thosse clubs do it.

First off all we need some new ideas, take tonight for example, we are 1-0 down chasing the game and what do we do? we play the ball around in our own half. Now, for arguments sake, say that was Manu - it would be a relentless attack to try and score not a defensive style of "if we're going to lose then let's lose 1-0" style of play. there is also the formation, as an example I'll go back to last seasons game against Barca when Ronaldinho wasn't getting any space on his left as Stam was closing him every time - what did Rijkaard do? he moved him and they ended up winning the game from a pass by Ronie, when has carlo ever made a change like that?
Secondly our substitutions are baffling at best, how many times do we get like for like subs when we could go more attacking instead? tonight we did see one good positive sub and that was Billy for Janku. But then carlo didn't fail and took Oli off, who I thought had one of his better games, and bought Borriello on. Now I don't mean to knock Borriello, but if you are looking for goals then you are better looking past him as IMO he's not good enough for Milan.

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Nov 21 2006, 10:49 PM) Well .. What good is it to talk about what we could have done ?! It's like saying had I bought stock X yesterday, I'd be a millionaire today ! No significance. Milan wont put effort in raising youth players, period! Hell, take an example off of Foggia for God's sake .. Milan didnt even give him a chance, even though our squad was thin and he could have had enough time to play ! Only reason Borrielo got the nod was the lack of goals from our strikers ! but like i said earlier in a post without this forward planning it must be a case of short-sightedness by the club agree? so it has significance the club should always be planning for the furture even if we are winning everything

After the match against AEK we have Nesta, Serginho, Favalli, Cafu, Simic, Costacurta and Dida injured, and the only available defenders are Maldini, Bonera and Jankulovski. Good Lord!

QUOTE (dst @ Nov 22 2006, 07:18 PM) We worship the past too much. You know I love Maldini as much as the next guy but well he should stop, as should Billy, Cafu and just like Seedorf should be benched. This should already have happened two years ago, period! We must stop being so sentimental with our players and quit giving some losers the chance to play for us ... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Paolo shall stop, he can't beat time ... noone can !! We MUST start a new era or SINK !! Go Antonelli !! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) ..................... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I don't have a problem with Maldini staying if he was fit, but he is not and it seems like he can't get fit anymore because of his age... But all the other players, like Cafu, Costacurta, Serginho ((IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) ), Fiori and yes even Inzaghi should retire by the end of this season.

What we need... is time. And time is money. About Carlo. Yes we need to replace him. But not right now, at the end of the Season I think. Yes, thank you for everything, but you're era definitely is over. We need somebody else, who has the creativity, to form a new Milan. I think we need some january moves, although I have no idea how many.It depends on the quality we look for. If we only buy cheap crappy players, yes we need +3. We should do some january moves, scout talented players... The major changes are due in the summer. And I hope we won't screw them!!! Galliani... well he really shouldn't be in milan. I appreciate that he's a passionate Milan fan, but nothing more. We only can hope to endure the Fiorentina game, and than get a notwelldeserved break. In this break we have to rest, get back the injured players, and hopefully the MILAN SPIRIT, which I have been missing in the last few games, or maybe the entire season except some games. Praying? Pray all if you want, but nobody can help us, except Milan themselves, when they get up their lazy asses, to win a game, in the name of the true Milan spirit & to honour the milan jersey. Do Nothing? That's not an option we have. Sooner or later something dramatic will happen, if we go on like this (Serie B, no CLspot, several Starplayers signing with other Clubs... and I won't be mad at them)
What we need to do? We have to face the reality (-26 points from Inter (yes it's very cooollld *brrr*)), which means, that it's impossible to get the Scudetto. What we can reach is the 4th place, a realistic target. I think our squad is somewhat psychological depressed (hitting the posts/bars, draws&losses in the last games). Also we still feel the aftereffect of calciopoli. CONI didn't cut off our points. Calciopoli pretty much ruined our summer transfer. Some players said, that the -8 motivates them, but I think the opposite happened. We should face the reality, and Berlusconi/Galliani/Ancelotti, shouldn't act like everythings alright, and giving statements a l a: "We are milan" "we still are nr.1 in europe" "we don't need january transfers" We are Milan. So what? In the end it's just a name, not the ability to win a game, which in the end is needed. We shouldn't hang only to the history, we have to look forward for the future, to win games.
I hope I haven't forgot anything major.

Our biggest problem in this whole mess of a season is one thing It's the players' minds. This is a psycological problem more then anything else. No transfers or injured players returning are going to help our situation. mchanna, you said something that I totally agree with (not that I disagree with the other stuff you said but this really struck me) QUOTE CONI didn't cut off our points. Calciopoli pretty much ruined our summer transfer. Some players said, that the -8 motivates them, but I think the opposite happened. . This is basically what started the ball rolling. The sh!tty pre-season we had add to that the fact that the calciopoli penalties seem to have taken the breath right out of the player's lungs. And as you said they might have said that it was a motivation but it did the whole opposite. And to continue to add to this, player's coming off the high of winning a WC (which continues to help in the un-motivated department). And this constant post hitting. Now I know it's not bad luck, I think it's become this big elephant inside the room. And now we are even starting to hit the post from the penalty spot. There is something defenately wrong. And it's not physical. It's coming from the player's minds. What will help is Carlo sitting them down and all having a hard talk. Also doesn't the club employ shrinks? I think they should get off their lazy asses and do some work. Our problem is unmotivation, no belief in our selves what-so-ever and we never show any balls, unless it's already too late

It's exactly that .. Plus, this team is playingto it's full potential, it cant give anymore; w/o fullbacks, Carlo's tactics are useless .. Game in - game out, Milan have ZERO width, even when they do, they arent effective. Had we got fullbacks, i.e. Cafu and Sergio on form, Milan would be pounding teams left, right and center !

The problem is we don't have the luxury to change tactics and instead of full backs we employ wingers, since we don't have wingers on the team. Our only hope was Foggia and we gave him away to Lazio (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Dec 11 2006, 02:28 PM) Foggia !!! R u serious !!! What has he been doing for Lazio this season ? In anycase, where it'd fullbacks or wings; we dont have them. Which brings us back to where we r, getting f@cked every single game we play. Of course I'm serious!! It's better to have the option of a winger then to not have it at all And Foggia is only experiancing the difficuilties he's having is because he get's shiped off to a different team every year. It doesn't help with the adjusting that much. I think that if we'de kep him he would have helped us out.
