(IMG: http://argentina001.jeeran.com/Fernando%20Gago.jpg) QUOTE Fernando Rubén Gago (born April 10, 1986 in Ciudadela, Buenos Aires) is an Argentinian football midfielder, who plays for first division Boca Juniors.
Gago, who came from the youth divisions of the club, made his professional debut with Boca in the 1–0 victory over Quilmes, on December 5, 2004 aged just seventeen. Despite his youth he quickly became an essential part of the Boca Juniors' midfield, and is considered a quality player, often compared with fellow countryman Fernando Redondo. (Wiki) The TV Show, on MediaSet, ControCampo linked him with us. He's a very talented youngster. A very good midfielder. In 1, 2 years will be without a doubt on the NT. He's being linked with Barcelona, R.Madrid, etc... last Summer. QUOTE Nel mirino del Milan c'è invece il nuovo Pirlo, il regista argentino Gago del Boca Juniors già opzionato dai rossoneri.

I see a lot of Boca games on Channel 5 in England and this guy looks amazing, he just totally dominates games allowing Palacio and Palermo to do their stuff upfront. Comparing him to Redondo is fair, he's a very similar type of player. Can't see him staying in Argentina much longer

QUOTE (amancik @ Sep 12 2006, 01:34 AM) right, so you didn't get what I mean ... I didn't mean he's not a good player, I meant you know, he's argentinian and Inter like Argentinians and maybe they would screw up our chance of getting this guy like they did for Crespo Ah, sorry. I thought the other way. Well, I really hope we get him, he's looks very promising.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goo Goo Over Gago Real Madrid are to start talks with Boca to have their prized midfielder become a Merengue by January. His meteoric rise to popularity is being backed up by his performances in 2006. He is a player that has promised so much and delivered just as much. So much so, that he is receiving the accolades and comparisons to one of the great Argentine players of all time- Fernando Redondo. He is being mentioned in the same breath by Redondo’s old club and the national team. Real Madrid seem to have the fast track to him as they have looked to incorporate him sometime next summer. The news of a Merengue official already in Buenos Aires observing him during this week’s Superclásico seem to insinuate the possibility of speeding up the process. There are rumors spreading throughout media outlets like Argentina's Olé and Spain's Marca, stating that Gago will be Real Madrid’s next big signing during the upcoming winter transfer market. According to many “madridistasâ€, he would be that piece that has been missing since Claude Makelele left. The only difference is that he offers more verticality to the Madrid attack. Gago, 20, is one of Boca’s stalwarts in the midfield and plays with the poise, charisma, and maturity of a seasoned veteran. How ironic is it that the only two matches that the Xeneize lost in 2006 so far were without him on the pitch. He brings a dimension to the game that has been missing in Argentine football and Real Madrid for a few years. Gago will take over the foreign player spot left vacant by Julio Baptista this past summer. Gago was integral to last Sunday’s comeback victory against Vélez Sarsfield at home; scoring his first career goal and setting up the game-winner. QUOTE (Portugal @ Oct 4 2006, 03:27 AM) Madrid is probably getting him to pair up with Diarra in the middle. Emerson is not performing good in spanish soccer. Its ridiculous how expendable players are at Madrid. Its disgusting how they can attract and buy every big name out there. Emerson has actually been playing well. The problem is that Capello turned into a overly defensive Italian team in an attacking football league. Its strange how players are so attracted to the team. It makes sense in that you can make a lot of money and people associate you with a commercial team that the guy from Bend it like Beckham is on. But the bench is just wasted talent. Etoo sat on that bench and stated how much is being wasted at Madrid. If Milan want Gago they need to grow a pair and get aggressive. Tevez has been speculated as leaving West Ham.

Tevez has been speculated as leaving West Ham. I) Real Madrid is the world's most sucessful team ever. 29 Leagues + 9(!) CL + the club with the biggest nº of fans around the world + team of the XX century by FIFA... It's obvious with all of this, they're probably the most hated team on Earth too. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) II) Emerson is not performing what he knows IMHO. Diarra is already doing a great job there. But the double-pivot tactic need time. Just give them time. III) Milan has to be agressive on the market. Not as the last Summer. Some days ago Paulo Berlusconi said "We were very close to sign Zlatan from Juventus, but then Inter beat us and got him". This things should not happen... IV) Italian press said today that Mascherano is probably going to Juventus on January.

I agree with Portugal ... tb is as unreliable as it gets (in fact, it's not unreliable they just post every rumour they hear of wherever it comes from ... ) but they don't falsly quote people. For example Morfeo's quote, about Gila, was only written there but Gila commented on it on the official site !!

Milan were outpriced??? I think they were the wrong words...Inter could never outprice Milan. Milan weren't outbid either. I'd use those words when Milan can't put up that amount of cash to buy a player. What we saw was not that Milan couldn't put up a price to match Inter's they wouldn't ! Why not? Well the only reason I can think of...no matter how much I don't like Zlatan(sorry Portugal he just doesn't do it 4 me)...he was the best available at the moment...me thinks the deal with Oli has as much to do with Gaucho as anything else.... I think the deal with Oli was buy one get one cheap kinda thing. I don't blame Milan's thinking. Oli's not a bad investment if it promises u first option on the 'best footballer' on the planet.... (I'm not talking about dst) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Milan went for Ibra but they would only get him on a certain amount of money. A cent more from Inter's side and considering Giuve's situation means he would become their player ... In a real fight where Milan would actually want to put their hand deep in their pocket Inter would not stand a chance. But when was the last time that happened ?? Shevchenko, some good 8 years ago ?? Or maybe Rui Costa ?? It's been a long time since Milan invested big !! I don't need no Oli to go to Milan ... I'm a faithful and always at their disposal ... but then who you talking for ?? ( this is for the past 3 yrs probably ) .. And Tribal doesnt cut it for me anymore, I dont even read into anything they say .. This took a long time for me to digest. I mean, they can quote, yes, but they can do a lot more with the quote .. Make things sound negative or positive; in other words manipulate what was actually said. Therefore, I cant take anything that they say seriouslly even if it was quoted .. Maybe if a reliable source supports what they say, then I would go for the reliable source in favor for something more concrete .. But to take news from Tribal and debate on an issue, I dont think it has any validity. Then again that is my opinion ..

I just finished watching the Super Classico ( River vs Boca ). A good game but here's what I was after: Fernando Gago !!! He is indeed reminiscent of Redondo, he's got very good technique, good pace and great vision of the field. He took the assist on Boca's goal (Simplicio). I hope Milan really are after him (after all Carlo in the summer said he wanted a CMF) and this linkness materializes into a transfer but I doubt it ... I think he's going Barcelona !! Simplicio He played very good in the first half but was not as solid in the second. Very good technique and all but did not impress me that much ... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Higuain !! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Man, the kid (18 years old) is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !! He really is what we need. In the first half he played a more inside-the-box role and he "only" scored a goal but when, in the second half, he was driven outside then his entire game was revealed. He can pass, drible, keep possession, control rhythm and basically everything else there is to do. He is tall and has good technique and his pace reminded me of Ibrahimovic only his game is much more simple and with marrow and he can score on tet-a-tet's !! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I really hope we're indeed after him, landing him in January would prove decisive !! ps. Still, it was just a game ... ps2. It had been quite a long time since I last watched futbol argentino and I really missed that "Tackle Art" ... it's either the ball by you or the man by you, never both !! Never saw him play. Only heard some good things about that kid. (PS: Don't talk about Zlatan or you'll be attacked...) Gago... he said we would like a move to La Liga (his fav league) and in Spain he has "no language problem"...

(Surprisingly enough noone has attacked me till now ... or thrash Higuain because of the comparison) Yeah it's a shame ... language is so big a factor even in our globalized world ... I've heard Laporta is a good friend of Boca's president and so I think he's going Barcelona ... but he would have so many friends here in Milan too with that argentinian community they have put up in the Merda side of town !!
