I see a lot of Boca games on Channel 5 in England and this guy looks amazing, he just totally dominates games allowing Palacio and Palermo to do their stuff upfront. Comparing him to Redondo is fair, he's a very similar type of player. Can't see him staying in Argentina much longer

Holding midfielder. I think we can't call him defensive or ofensive. A bit like Pirlo.

He's a creative defensive-midfielder. Good passing, great vision... a little version (he's 19 or 20) of Xabi Alonso or Pirlo. He rarely makes mistakes and doesn't get a lot of cards (yellows)...

He's a regular in a top-team in Boca Juniors.

PS: Chelsea is/was interested in him too.

Real Madrid are to start talks with Boca to have their prized midfielder become a Merengue by January.

Emerson has actually been playing well. The problem is that Capello turned into a overly defensive Italian team in an attacking football league.

II) Emerson is not performing what he knows IMHO. Diarra is already doing a great job there. But the double-pivot tactic need time. Just give them time.

I agree with Portugal ... tb is as unreliable as it gets (in fact, it's not unreliable they just post every rumour they hear of wherever it comes from ... ) but they don't falsly quote people. Milan were outpriced??? I think they were the wrong words...Inter could never outprice Milan. Milan weren't outbid either. I'd use those words when Milan can't put up that amount of cash to buy a player.

Milan went for Ibra but they would only get him on a certain amount of money. A cent more from Inter's side and considering Giuve's situation means he would become their player ... It's just that over-time .. I surf the net for news .. ( this is for the past 3 yrs probably ) .. And Tribal doesnt cut it for me anymore, I dont even read into anything they say .. This took a long time for me to digest. I mean, they can quote, yes, but they can do a lot more with the quote .. Make things sound negative or positive; in other words manipulate what was actually said.

Therefore, I cant take anything that they say seriouslly even if it was quoted .. Maybe if a reliable source supports what they say, then I would go for the reliable source in favor for something more concrete .. But to take news from Tribal and debate on an issue, I dont think it has any validity.

I just finished watching the Super Classico ( River vs Boca ).
A good game but here's what I was after:
Fernando Gago !!! He is indeed reminiscent of Redondo, he's got very good technique, good pace and great vision of the field. He took the assist on Boca's goal (Simplicio). I hope Milan really are after him (after all Carlo in the summer said he wanted a CMF) and this linkness materializes into a transfer but I doubt it ... I think he's going Barcelona !!

Simplicio He played very good in the first half but was not as solid in the second. Very good technique and all but did not impress me that much ...

Higuain !! Man, the kid (18 years old) is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !! He really is what we need. In the first half he played a more inside-the-box role and he "only" scored a goal but when, in the second half, he was driven outside then his entire game was revealed. He can pass, drible, keep possession, control rhythm and basically everything else there is to do. He is tall and has good technique and his pace reminded me of Ibrahimovic only his game is much more simple and with marrow and he can score on tet-a-tet's !! I really hope we're indeed after him, landing him in January would prove decisive !!

ps2. It had been quite a long time since I last watched futbol argentino and I really missed that "Tackle Art" ... it's either the ball by you or the man by you, never both !!

I've heard Laporta is a good friend of Boca's president and so I think he's going Barcelona ... but he would have so many friends here in Milan too with that argentinian community they have put up in the Merda side of town !!
