Think it's hard to say a 'legend' from just that time...
Maldini (Played For Us For At The Top Of His Game For 20+ years 'Nuff Said) Costacurta (Pure Class) Kaka (Won The CL For Us) Shevchenko (The World's Best Attacker With Us)
Some of the rest...
Albertini Rui Costa Zvonimir Boban
Can't think of many, sure I'll agree with most other posts on this one!

Maldini and Costacurta are the greatest Milan legends I believe... I mean... these guys have won with Milan 6 CL trophies and 7 scudetti... that's many more than most CLUBS in Europe have won in their entire history!
Sheva is a legend too... he left in a bad way but he is Milan's all-time second goal-scorer!
I consider whoever has left an impact in this team to be a legend!

I'd add Van Basten and Baresi onto the list. Actually...I'd just add the entire team from 89-90. Then there's Liedholm et al from the 50s....
And while he was certainly a very good player for Milan while he was here, the way in which he left means that I would not include Andriy Shevchenko on a legends list.

Savicevic, Boban, Weah, even Bierhoff I'd guess. Mark Hately anyone?

^^^ Oops from 2000 onwards... Hmm...yeah the usual suspects... The Magical Rui....the entire current squad...I know how 10ster feels about Sheva...but that's 7 years of brilliance, that we can't ignore. I guess...After Paolo and Billy...though it would be Nesta...who's most an icon. I don't think people are gonna consider Pirlo an icon, till the day he leaves. We just take him for granted. Pippo of course. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) Rui I already said. Yeesh....this is a f@cked up endeavour. They're all legends in my book.

QUOTE (Tennie @ Jan 16 2008, 07:39 PM) And while he was certainly a very good player for Milan while he was here, the way in which he left means that I would not include Andriy Shevchenko on a legends list. Tennie is a meaniehead (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Even though the way he left wasn't ideal, what matter is what he has done for the club. Sheva gave his best years to Milan and both he and the team accomplished a lot together. He still loves Milan and always have very kind words to say about the club and players. He had a big impact on the team and there were years when he carried the team by himself. Sheva was an icon and the way he left doesn't change that. 173 goals in 7 glorious years Just from 2000 onwards? Paolo and Costacurta above all. Sheva, Rino, Pirlo, Nesta, Kaka, Ambro, Pippo.

^^^ Yes so is Billy.... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Billy, Baresi, Tassoti are already in the club functioning. If Paolo also joins after quitting, the 4 musketeers will be together again. I'd love for all 4 of them to be put in charge of the primavera. Time we started mining some talent. The football market is just too bloody expensive.

Well, Milan is the world's finest club, so it's only natural that there are many legends. Franco Baresi, Gianni Rivera and Paolo Maldini infornt of everyone else. Then there are some loyal and established players who devoted their whole (or at least the biggest part) careers to Milan like Costacurta, Albertini, Ambrosini, Tassotti, Alberigo Evani, Roberto Donadoni and Cesare Maldini Also, Zvone Boban (whom I really admire), George Weah, Marco Simone (which is I fear never truly recognized), Ruud Gullit, Frank Rijkaard, the Gre-No-Li trio and Altafini. Aldo Maldera and Andrij Shevchenko maybe left us in a harsh way, but they still are lengends. So that's my "short"list,..
