AC Milan have been urged to sign French striking sensation Karim Benzema by respected football agent Claudio Pasqualin.
The Rossoneri are really struggling in Serie A at the moment and are languishing in 12th position in the table, a gigantic 25 points behind league-leaders Inter.
A key reason for these struggles has been a lack of goals, with Milan only scoring three times at home this campaign.
Filippo Inzaghi has not scored in Serie A since January of this year, Alberto Gilardino has still failed to convince that he is capable to play at the highest level, while Ronaldo has made just one appearance this season due to injury.
This has led to reports that Milan may look to sign a striker during the January transfer window, and Pasqualin believes they should move for Lyon star Benzema.
"It's hard to find the right reinforcement for a team that does not need it,†Pasqualin said.
“The Frenchman, however, would increase the potential of any team."
The 20-year-old Benzema is widely regarded as one of the most explosive talents in European football and he is admired by a host of European giants, including Inter, Juventus, Arsenal and Real Madrid.
---------------------------
I'd like to have him! He is very powerfull, strong, fast, good-finisher and its NOT A BOX PLAYER!!!

I have only seen him a number of times but he looked amazing!
He would cost much = we are not going to sign him.
It all makes me sad.

QUOTE (dst @ Dec 26 2007, 04:55 PM) I have only seen him a number of times but he looked amazing! He would cost much = we are not going to sign him.It all makes me sad. Probably we would need a record-breaking offer in order to make Lyon release him (remember how much Chelsea and Real paid for Essien and Diarra respectively). So, yes I agree that we will not sign him.

he's good but yep, he's gonna cost us a lot.. how many members are there in this forum? can we start collecting money now? can we buy him for Milan? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) p/s : they'll face man u in the knockout so when they meet each other, man u will most probably take a closer look at him.. and most probably buy him nx season..

I think he'd be worth a big cash layout. Do I think it'll happen? Prolly not, sadly.
Benzema is class, though. Very talented young player.

I bet this ^*(&*&^% so-and-so has also told Madrid, Barca, Inter and all the other biggies to sign him up too. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) It would be a good time to bring him in though, since it would give us the luxury of having a walk in when Pippo and R99 leave. I don't know about skills, you can't tell by watching greatest goals package on youtube.

I don't know about skills, you can't tell by watching greatest goals package on youtube. have no doubt about it. he will be one of the best players in the world sooner than later. He is a terror on the pitch. Wins balls in the air, has quick feet, isnt the fastest, but is powerful and direct near the goal. He is a clinical finisher. He has the potential to be everything Sheva was for us. I mentioned him a couple months ago in a post and would buy his jersey in an instant, just so i had the throwback Benzema jersey. Just look at his record..scores a goal 2 out of every 3 games..and its his first year starting at age 19. and none of his goals look flukey. SIGN HIM! he's a right footed adriano.

QUOTE 02/01/2008 12:23
Milan Must Pay More Than £25m For Benzema – Lyon AC Milan have been told by Lyon that they will have to cough up more than £25m if they want to sign explosive young striker Karim Benzema.
The 20-year-old hitman is one of the most wanted youngsters in the whole of Europe with a host of top European teams cueing up for his signature. Milan are towards the front of this cue and according to the Gazzetta dello Sport have already begun transfer negotiations with his club Lyon.
However the French champions have told Rossoneri chiefs Ariedo Braida and Adriano Galliani that the £25m they are prepared to offer will not be enough to sign Benzema.
Milan are in desperate need of some forward reinforcements as Ronaldo has played just once this season due to injury, Filippo Inzaghi has not scored in Serie A for almost a year, while Alberto Gilardino has shown little sign that he is capable at starring at the very highest level.
One good sign for the European and World Champions is that teenage wonderkid Alexandre Pato will be eligible to make his debut for the club when Serie A resumes after the winter break on January 13.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Jan 2 2008, 06:02 AM) It doesnt say in the article but in the news clip of this article on goal.com it says that lyon want 34 million euros for ths kid!!! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) are they nuts hes only 20 years old....ive only seen him play a few times, and looks very talanted but realistically not worth 34 million. I thaught 20 million was sufficiant but milan offered 25 to seal the deal, wich is nice to see milan splurge for once....but common 34 million....liverpool paid 30 million for torres and was much more proven then benzema, he was captain of athletico and came off a good performance in the world cup, benzema hasnt proven himself on such a big stage yet. This just goes to show how over priced lyon players are once again. Like common you play in the french leauge....its not like its one of the top rated leauges out there theres not much stiff competiton no wonder ur only team that can compete in champions leauge stands out n the players look so well...juve shoulda cashed out on some of their players since they did sooo well in seria b last year (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) if it were up to me id offer 20 million and throw a couple of the 8 players there lookin to offload at the end of the season anyway. might as well free us some salary cap and room on the bench.

QUOTE (zdrossoneri @ Jan 4 2008, 10:50 AM) Pepe, Diarra, Marcelo,... It's not about Real Madrid. It's about the whole concept. Look at Lyon, they allways do that with their players, and very rarely it pays out. Frank Ribery from Marseille proved to be better then every single highly rated expensive player from Lyon for the past 4 years. Ok, Bayern also had to pay,... And why do you mention Pato???? You honestly think Milan leads the way with hyped players? O for G sake,..it's the first hyped player we signed since Gilardino (and his hype wasn't that bad; we've all seen him play and were impressed). Why do we need point out that Milan does the same, even when it's not the case? This has nothing to do with looking through rosy glasses, this has to do with the reality, mostly,..

Why do we need point out that Milan does the same, even when it's not the case? This has nothing to do with looking through rosy glasses, this has to do with the reality, mostly,.. They weren't hyped as much as Pato. what did they say about Marcelo expect that he is R.Carlos' successor? [and in fact he IS Carlos' successor. I'm really impressed with his games this season]. Diarra... he was a great player even when at Lyon, I haven't seen so much hype around him, and he is no 17-18yo either (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) . Pepe was signed for an exaggerated price, but at least he's proving he's got something to offer. As for Pato, I never said we lead our way with hype, because we don't even sign hypeable (!) players that much. I've said this before, I'm gonna have to say this again: Pato is really something special! perhaps I've seen him play more than any of you, but it's not a matter of having talent, it's a matter of putting too much unfair pressure on him. our management have gone TOO FAR in their hype and it can ruin his career just as much as it ruined Yoann's [the next Zidan hype]. that's it. I'm waiting for his 30 goals... He is not going to score 30 goals obviously... Berlusconi made a joke, he is a well-known story-teller. I don't know how people outside of Milan have received what's been said for Pato but as a Milan fan I know it was not all serious. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't feature against Napoli or after that, would you? Anyway, Pato IS hyped up no doubt and unfortunately this is what happens with all the young players who can kick the ball in a fancy way. This is what Filip was talking about.

I'm afraid that's enough for us, we are not Arsenal. 8-10 years ago, you know what Ronaldo was like. He was king...everyone wanted to be like him. Pato and Benzema would have been exactly the right age to idolize him. I don't mind us getting Benzema, but will Pippo be willing to drift into the shadows. And what of Paloschi? Bring in Benzema and we're dealing with Paloschi-Pato-Benzema-Willy, that's a lot!! QUOTE I'm telling you, they are probably downloading Ronaldo goals instead of porn that's what they freaking do!! Benzema To Milan: Come And Get Me French striking sensation Karim Benzema has issued a ‘come and get me’ plea to Milan after admitting that the Rossoneri are his “dream clubâ€.
The 20-year-old Lyon star is regarded as one of the most explosive young talents in Europe, and the future of the French national team.
Benzema has been linked with virtually all of European football’s giants, however he has revealed the club and player who he most admires.
"For me, the Rossoneri are my dream club,†the hitman told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “Ronaldo has always been my idol.
"I like Milan, though I must admit I do support Real Madrid. I also like the big squads such as Juve, Inter and Manchester United. The important thing is to win.â€
However Benzema brushed off talk of an imminent move to San Siro.
"I will only leave Lyon once I feel in the right frame of mind and ready for the move,†he stated.
Benzema was also asked who he thought were the top five youngsters in world football.
“Messi is first, then Cristiano Ronaldo, Rooney, Nasri and Aguero of Atletico Madrid,†the Frenchman answered.
Benzema has already won eight caps for France, scoring three goals, and could be a key player at this summer’s European Championships in Austria and Switzerland.

QUOTE (redbabies @ Jan 9 2008, 01:34 PM) Benzema To Milan: Come And Get Me French striking sensation Karim Benzema has issued a ‘come and get me’ plea to Milan after admitting that the Rossoneri are his “dream clubâ€.The 20-year-old Lyon star is regarded as one of the most explosive young talents in Europe, and the future of the French national team. The important thing is to win.â€However Benzema brushed off talk of an imminent move to San Siro. Benzema has already won eight caps for France, scoring three goals, and could be a key player at this summer’s European Championships in Austria and Switzerland. smart move (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Galliani: Don’t Put Too Much Pressure On PatoThe 18-year-old is set to make his long-awaited debut at the weekend against Napoli, and many believe he could be the player to provide the spark to turn around Milan’s poor domestic season.
â€I always hear people associating Pato's name to a possible recovery by our squad in the league, but let's not forget Milan have won before without him,†Galliani stated.
“Pato is a great player, but let's not give him too much responsibility.â€
Galliani did admit that the Brazilian will provide the squad with more options, especially now that Ronaldo has returned to fitness too.
“Now finally we will have six forwards available and I don't know what to answer when someone asks me if Milan will play with one striker or two strikers with all these players available,†the transfer guru added.
“The way I see football, Milan have always played and will continue playing with three strikers. Considering the position they play in, I consider Seedorf and Kaká to be two strikers.
“I have very positive feelings after this week [training] in Dubai. We are certainly counting on getting back Ronaldo for the league."Seems he has not given up on the "Kaka/Seerdorf are stikers" bullsh1t. So, guys, quit dreaming Benzema (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

He was king...everyone wanted to be like him. Yes, I know (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) he made such an impact on football that it still remains unrivaled to this day.
