AC Milan have been urged to sign French striking sensation Karim Benzema by respected football agent Claudio Pasqualin.

The Rossoneri are really struggling in Serie A at the moment and are languishing in 12th position in the table, a gigantic 25 points behind league-leaders Inter.

A key reason for these struggles has been a lack of goals, with Milan only scoring three times at home this campaign.

Filippo Inzaghi has not scored in Serie A since January of this year, Alberto Gilardino has still failed to convince that he is capable to play at the highest level, while Ronaldo has made just one appearance this season due to injury.

This has led to reports that Milan may look to sign a striker during the January transfer window, and Pasqualin believes they should move for Lyon star Benzema.

"It's hard to find the right reinforcement for a team that does not need it,” Pasqualin said.

“The Frenchman, however, would increase the potential of any team."

The 20-year-old Benzema is widely regarded as one of the most explosive talents in European football and he is admired by a host of European giants, including Inter, Juventus, Arsenal and Real Madrid.

I must admit I've only seen his games in the CL and only 1 or 2 in the league, but from what I have seen he doe slook very promising. I'd love to have him.

Probably we would need a record-breaking offer in order to make Lyon release him (remember how much Chelsea and Real paid for Essien and Diarra respectively).

have no doubt about it. he will be one of the best players in the world sooner than later. He is a terror on the pitch. Wins balls in the air, has quick feet, isnt the fastest, but is powerful and direct near the goal. He is a clinical finisher. He has the potential to be everything Sheva was for us. I mentioned him a couple months ago in a post and would buy his jersey in an instant, just so i had the throwback Benzema jersey. Just look at his record..scores a goal 2 out of every 3 games..and its his first year starting at age 19. and none of his goals look flukey. SIGN HIM! he's a right footed adriano.

It doesnt say in the article but in the news clip of this article on goal.com it says that lyon want 34 million euros for ths kid!!! are they nuts hes only 20 years old....ive only seen him play a few times, and looks very talanted but realistically not worth 34 million. I thaught 20 million was sufficiant but milan offered 25 to seal the deal, wich is nice to see milan splurge for once....but common 34 million....liverpool paid 30 million for torres and was much more proven then benzema, he was captain of athletico and came off a good performance in the world cup, benzema hasnt proven himself on such a big stage yet. They weren't hyped as much as Pato. what did they say about Marcelo expect that he is R.Carlos' successor? [and in fact he IS Carlos' successor. I'm really impressed with his games this season]. Diarra... he was a great player even when at Lyon, I haven't seen so much hype around him, and he is no 17-18yo either . Pepe was signed for an exaggerated price, but at least he's proving he's got something to offer.

As for Pato, I never said we lead our way with hype, because we don't even sign hypeable (!) players that much.
