I think he is a great talent. But I believe he's not confident of his potential yet... and Milan is not helping him work on that!

You really are fascinated with Seedorf, aren't you dst?(IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I think Gourcuff is very talented. The only thing I can really say against him is that he's still immature in a lot of ways. And he dives. Remember he got carded during Milan's home fixture v. Palermo last year. And the foul in the box during the Udinese game last May was...theatrical.

OOOps,...I voted for nothing special. Well, right now he is nothing special. I just cannot say that he is a supertalent based on what I saw till today (this is more my fault then Yohann's). He is nothing special cause of the small chances he gets, but also cause of his character. It seems to me he has confidence trouble. But I'm sure he'll get over that,... Anyway,..I sometimes think Milan is a bit too much traditionlist. I know, I'm the first one who allways mentions tradition, but,..we are old fashioned, aren't we? Do world at Lyon, Barca, Real, etc. is right now full of trendy hyped teen-players. But what do we have? We have an old-fashioned Yohann Gourcuff who's nothing like Messi to make a double in his debut. He rather plays it slow,...a to-be-Zidane,.. Forza Gourcuff (that sound a bit weir, no? Avant Gourcuff is more,..)! Oh and yes, the Duck will change things a bit,.. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Gourcuff had a fantastic start at Milan. He's clearly very talented.
Thing is - and I may be slated for saying this - he's displayed a tendency I do NOT like at all. Namely, he dives. Did it today (without being carded), did it last year against Palermo (DID get carded) and did it last year against Udinese to get the penalty that Billy took in his last game.

One more thing. Yesterday he scored an own-goal. Okay, sh@t happens and it was more Dida's then his fault. But his body language and his gesticulation at that moment was just annoying. I was really mad - his face expression said it all, he wasn't ashamed for a bit and he also wasn't sad. Maybe it's just a small detail but,.. QUOTE Gourcuff Accepts Responsibility For Milan Defeat Milan youngster Yoann Gourcuff has taken the blame for Celtic’s winner last night but claimed that the Rossoneri were made to pay for missing numerous chances. Scott McDonald scored in the 90th minute to give Celtic a famous 2-1 victory over the European Champions. Gary Caldwell’s shot from the edge of the penalty area was fumbled back into play by Dida and while the rest of the Milan defence pushed up, Gourcuff played McDonald onside and the striker slotted home the rebound.
“The second goal was my fault,†the French starlet admitted. “We shouldn’t have allowed them to catch us like that after they had played so defensively.
“We knew this would be a tough game and once they scored it made things harder still. But the pitch helped them, while we missed so many chances.â€
Gourcuff is rated as one of the most promising French youngsters currently in circulation, however he has received very few chances to shine at Milan since joining in 2006 from Rennes.
The 21-year-old scored on his Champions League debut last season in the match against AEK Athens and many have labelled him as the “new Youri Djorkaeffâ€, after the ex-Inter and France star. Poor boy, it's so cruel to let him take the blame. The second one was his fault? Hmhm,...

QUOTE surely playing Catania at home would be an easier game for him than Celtic away in the pi55ing rain (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I played this over in my head with an English accent and it sounded so cool. Much more elegant than the f-word. Nice one, I_Ross.

As seen above, I don't like his diving.
But I do admire his nerve and his courage for coming out with that statement. Kudos to Yoann.
