Yep! Typical English birds, there's a specific name for them you know, similar to Paris Hilton really.

I heard we're buying Hoyte from Arsenal for £2.5m. He doesn't really fit in with them anyways, he's not a teenager and he's English. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

In other news United claim they've turned down two bids from Liverpool for Gabi Heinze. Looks certain to leave, but Fergie refuses to have him playing for another EPL team.

Premier League's Top Ten Earners

News that Chelsea have agreed a new £6.8 million-a-year deal with their captain John Terry means that the central defender - who is also England skipper - is set to become the highest-paid player in English football.

Terry's wages will be £131,000-per-week uner the terms of his new five-year contract.

But how does that compare with the wages of other big-earners in the Premiership?

According to The Sun, the table of the Premier League's top ten earners prior to Terry's new deal looked like this:

1= Andriy Shevchenko, Michael Ballack (both Chelsea) £121,000 a week

3 Steven Gerrard (Liverpool) £120,000

4 Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd) £119,000

5= Wayne Rooney (Man Utd), Michael Owen (Newcastle) £110,000

7= Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd) £100,000

9= Fernando Torres (Liverpool), Didier Drogba (Chelsea) £90,000.

------------

Two of the worst Chelsea players of last season are top earners. OK I knew that.

But, didn't know anything about Owen being the 5th (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) . Well, I have to say it: He's a great businessmen. All he do is stay out injuried and look at his bank account higher and higher for £110.000 every week (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Not a chance, ticket prices are so much higher here than most other places and so many grounds in the Premiership sell out week-in week-out. Then there's the TV revenue that's just outrageous, business icons are starting to see the Premiership Club as something to buy ever since Roman did a few years ago, they have far more money than the older chairmans who were in place. Unless a salary cap comes into place this league is just going to get more expensive (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

It's a win for style over substance though! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

People will only be able to afford it for so long, let's not forget that chelscum took out adverts in local newspapers last season trying to get people to watch their game with Barca. I realise it was a CL game, but surely a game involving the CL winner and prem winner would have been a sell out!

Some people literally go without food just so they can afford season tickets! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) and I thought football was the game of the working man (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
