He's 27(!!!), powerful, quick and quality foward.

I agree, he's all of these things, but I still think 14m is too much.

Maybe I'm getting tight in my old age (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (23 today - woo! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) )

I'm sure he'll do well for us.

Well everyone seems ecstatic about this signing.. besides kurt. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

He has most the eto'o qualities with serie a experience and he'll be 28 years old at the end of this year.

Can he replicate all this with milan..

I was watching his efforts against milan, his pace could really be hot to handle especially with the likes of pirlo and kaka' playing him through. Dare say that shuts the door on eto'o coming unless we let gila go.

Nice to see that were actually 'active' in the transfer market as someone rightly pointed out, especially when were constantly linked to this player and that player. Haha and then from right field BANG, slip in and snake suazo. Just that action makes it a wonderful trade. Is 14 million alot.. depends what currency I guess, but if thats the same currency as 30 million for sheva, then I tend to agree it is rather high.

So what happens with oli and borriello now..

Any tips to what number he'll get, c'mon #7 (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Wll, i haven't read all the four pages in the thread but this is why Cagliari sold Suazo to Milan and not to Inter.

Moratti and Cagliaris president Cellino had agreed on a transfer, it was all set, except for one thing, and that is that Inter was supposed to get Aquafresca as a replacement to Suazo in the next two days. Said and done Cellino thought, but nooope.
He called Moratti last night and asked about Aquafresca and all he got for an answer was silence. Cellino got pissed off, he called Galliani and said that he could buy Suazo instead. Galliani made a quick phone call to Silvio who gave Suazo "his blessing". Galliani and Cellino worked things out fast, 14€M for the transfer and give Suazo 3.5€M per season.
And now in the morning everything was official.
In the Gazzetta where i found this it also says that Milan still want Eto'o.
I really don't know what we need him for now, although I would get really dissapoited if Inter got him.

It also says that there are 6(!) clubs interested in Oliveira, among those we find Atletico Madrid, Espanyol and Marseille.

Interesting. Very. So you got all of this from Gazzetta or do you have some sort of insider?

most of his goals are from penalties....

this means our chance for eto'o has shrinked, and inter have the better chances, if he doesnt go to EPL or stays in barca...

BUT TO SEE THE INTERISTI'S FACEXPRESSION IS PRICELESS

Happy birthday to ya Mike. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I wish Milan could have given you a better present than Suazo though!

I agree with the price-tag being too much. I really don't think he's worth it at all. He will certainly not solve our goalscoring problem. Maybe he'll prove me wrong and shove this all back in my face? I really hope he does.

I suppose my anti-Suazo rants will have to stop now he's part of the Rosseneri. Welcome to Milan, David. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Milan confirm Suazo swoop Tuesday 19 June, 2007

European champions Milan have announced that they have agreed a deal with Cagliari to sign David Suazo.

The Rossoneri were rumoured to have pipped city rivals Inter with a late bid yesterday and that has been noted as reality by the club this morning.

“The Honduran attacker David Suazo will wear the Milan jersey next season,” a statement on the club’s website noted.

“His transfer from Cagliari into Rossonero was concluded after negotiations which took place last night.”

Cagliari chief Massimo Cellino has also confirmed the move. “I’ve signed a deal with Milan,” he simply noted at the Lega Calcio offices this morning.

Suazo is understood to have cost the Champions League winners a sum in the region of £10m.

Happy B'day Mike, all the best. I'm one year younger than you, YOUTH! Have a good one anyways.

Everyone milan supporter got the same present this year.. just a lazy 7th european title. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

As long as everyone is happy to share it should be fine. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

Maybe suazo is part of the icing.. hopefully only part of..

it's good that way also, you never know how would eto'o play in italy, while suazo has proven himself over the years...

100& Agreed. 14 M for that guy is....a joke. We could have gotten a lot of better players for that money. He's good but he just doesn't improve our squad IMO. Pippo and Ronaldo are way better than him, even in their age. For me he's just not enough....but of course I welcome him at Milan (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

IMO...good players play good football everywhere (sometimes they need some time but...)

Oh and Happy Birthday Mike.....yes even a year older than me (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Both. Everything about this deal is from the Gazzetta. A friend helped me translate.

The stuff about Oliveira is from the Gazzetta "in paper" i.e those news are not on the internet, yet, think they will show up.
