That's what is confusing me. He said something like "Suazo can be considered an Inter player now", last week.

Internazionale have completed the signing of David Suazo from Cagliari.

Cagliari president Massimo Cellino confirmed that the highly-rated Honduras striker had joined the Serie A champions on Radio Radio.

And, although Inter already have the likes of Hernan Crespo, Adriano and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their squad, Cellino believes Suazo will walk straight into the first team.

"Inter have made a great buy," he said.

"At Inter, Suazo will be their first choice. The rest will come after.

"He's a great player and a great professional."

I must say I'm disappointed. Goals is what we need, from him, goals we will not get. In my eyes, it's not he's chose us over Inter. You'll be reading this in time:

If this really comes off, I can see Moratti taking that stance publicly. Or I can see him (and Mancini) whining about the meaniehead rossoneri who stole their transfer target.

I think we'll see a 'name' transfer - Suazo isn't it.

First of all, great news! This is a very very good and interesting buy for us. We haven't had a fast forward upfront for quite some years now and Suazo is as fast they get. He has Serie A experience and has an impressive goalscoring record with Cagliari who are a very very poor team.

But this only means one thing, Porty's wish is about to come true- as we already have an Eto'o like striker on the team- We are getting Ronaldinho.

And that would be absolutely incredible. We won't have to worry about our players not getting enough play time either as we have many games to play next season.

@Kurt, Suazo is a good goalscorer, and even if he couldn't score too many goals, TRUST ME when I tell you this: WE NEED HIS GODDAMN PACE! And don't forget we have Ronaldo too, who manged to score 7 goals in 12 appearances despite being a January signing, being well overweight and out of shape. He was never more than 80%. Just imagine what he is gonna\ wants to prove next season.

I really hope so, I think that's what we lacked a little this season. We need another 'match winner' in our team, somebody else that we can rely on so Kaka' doesn't have the pressure to perform every single game.

I hope there's some substance in the Tiago thing, I'd really like to see him here. I know he was only playing in the French league but he performed well in the CL, too. How Maniche, Costinha and Petit constantly get picked in front of him for the NT makes me wonder if Scolari's completely lost it.

Maniche, Costinha, et al got picked ahead of Tiago because Tiago is more of an AM than a DM. The guy ahead of Tiago in the Portuguese NT is generally Deco.

Maybe that's where I've gone wrong, I've always considered him a DM.

BREAKING NEWS: Suazo Signs For Milan Not Inter - Report

This morning both the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ and ‘Corriere dello Sport’ are reporting that the Hondurian striker has signed for the Rossoneri.

The player had already passed the Nerazzurri's medical exams and had reached an agreement with Massimo Moratti's club last week, but according to two of Italy's most important newspapers, the 'Gazzetta dello Sport' and 'Corriere dello Sport', Milan made a successful last minute 14 million Euro bid to sign the Hondurian striker.

This news was first announced by 'Milan Channel' just before 1am (CET) early this morning. If confirmed, this will go down as one of the biggest surprises in this transfer market so far this summer, Considering that Suazo was virtually an Inter player up till a few hours ago and there was never a link between Milan and the Cagliari attacker in the past weeks.

Inter will not take lightly this ‘offensive’ transfer move as Roberto Mancini had seen the player as the ideal replacement for Adriano and the Nerazzurri had been tracking him down for the past 6 months.

Expect a new war of words to start between the two rival clubs in the next few hours.

Suazo is one of the best players currently playing for the Honduras national football team, and he was a member of the Honduran squad that competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.

The only thing I know about suazo is he's lightening quick.. anyone else care to share more knowledge on the possibly new rossonero..

He's not that young, but I guess he's at least established and use to the serie a conditions. Its certainly a surprise if he have hijacked inter's transfer, even if it doesn't work out it'll be worth it to see the expression on moratti and co's faces.

We have just signed ourselves a great striker. Someone who can dribble and shoot from outside the box and someone who can do what Gila and Inzaghi can't do, run with the ball and create!!

we don't even need dinho...gourcuff is good enough to get chance to prove himself...dinho maybe next year in my opinion...galliani i just not keen on paying a lot of money...if we've bought suazo, then it is the time to look for one defender...i still suggest Vedran Corluka would be great, but u don't know a lot about him for sure...

I don't think Max is going to be overly pleased by this.. BUT! I really don't see Gourcuff in the same class as R10, not even close. Maybe some day, but not right now.

R10 has proven himself all over, Gourcuff played well enough in France and has only made a dozen or so appearances for us, you can't really compare.

If it was on Milan channel then it's definately true. They are the first to announce these things.

And this is great, Suazo to me is the next Weah, obviously not in the same class but definately all the characteristics are there. Pace, power, strength and good finishing, despite last season's poor year, when really he had nothing to work with since Cagliari were THAT terrible.

And how we hijacked Inter for the transfer just makes it much more sweetwer

I'd love to see Gourcuff get more playing time (give Pirlo, 'Rino or Seedorf a rest - he can play in all three positions), but R10 is in a different league at the moment.

We've just got a massive amount of money for winning the CL (not forgetting the 30m from the Sheva transfer) - we're in the best position possible to bring him to the San Siro.

Milan ‘steal’ Suazo from Inter!

Reports in Italy are suggesting that Milan have sensationally pipped Inter in the race to sign Cagliari striker David Suazo.

The Honduran, who scored 14 Serie A goals last season, has been strongly paired with the Italian champions over the past few months and a deal was seemingly done.

Cagliari President Massimo Cellino and Inter owner Massimo Moratti had agreed financial terms and a move was on the horizon – especially as Suazo was then spotted in Milan ahead of his medical.

“Moratti’s word is enough for me,” commented Cellino last week. “The player can now move to Inter.”

However, Tuesday’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Milan have amazingly hijacked the switch.

Vice-President Adriano Galliani has allegedly finalised a last-minute deal with Cellino by agreeing to pay the islanders a £10m fee.

Inter were expected to offer the Rossoblu £6.5m and hand over 19-year-old striker Robert Acquafresca, who was specifically wanted by Coach Marco Giampaolo.

The Rossoneri were known to be on the market for a new forward after noting that Barcelona star Samuel Eto’o remained the club’s main target – but there has been no mention of Suazo.

The 27-year-old, who will leave the Stadio Sant’Elia after eight years in Sardinia, joined Cagliari from Olimpia Tegucigalpa.

He was also a reported target for Juventus, Manchester United and the Rossoneri themselves last summer.

But it seems we're not done. The "hunt" for Eto'o/Ronaldinho... continues. Inter want them too.

14m is too much for Suazo in my opinion, but as long as it doesn't hamper the rest of our transfer campaign, I don't mind.

Unless we sign another top striker, I'm not happy. Suazo had a very good few years, but last season I thought he was pretty dreadful.

E14m isn't too bad a price, let's just hope he replicates his 05/06 form rather than 06/07. At least it'll shut up everybody that complains we haven't done anything. We've signed somebody and the transfer window hasn't even official opened, complain now!
