Capello pushes Eto'o to Milan

With Real Madrid about to win La Liga, it’s more likely Milan will pounce for Barcelona’s Samuel Eto’o.

The Rossoneri have made no secret of their interest in the Cameroon international and his time at the Nou Camp could well be up after the disappointment of this season.

With the title seemingly safe a few weeks ago, the Blaugrana have frittered away their lead and last night’s 2-2 draw with Espanyol has put Fabio Capello’s Real Madrid in pole position.

“We had to fight back for this result and to do so I saw a great team spirit,” said the former Juventus boss after their 2-2 with Zaragoza.

“Now we need concentration, as we have not won the title yet, but we can do it.”

Having also failed in the Champions League, Barcelona look ready for a clear-out in their squad and the first to go could be Eto’o.

Also a target for Inter, the 26-year-old African star would be available for around £20m, although other players may be included in an exchange for Barca teammate Gianluca Zambrotta.

The Rossoneri have confirmed they are seeking a new striker for the summer and Coach Carlo Ancelotti named both Eto’o and Thierry Henry in a recent Press conference

Explain the relevance of the title. It's not Capello's fault Barca aren't playing well...

Eto'o is Milan's real objective and Barca may be ready to acrifice him in order to get Henry. Milan ready to pay 40 mil euro and to take Edmilson too.

From mish post... "Today there's a meeting between Eto'o and some Milan agents to make the first contact. 6M/euros per season are ready for him"

Do you really believe in this? It was his agent who said he's not leaving Barcelona. If he was really leaving who think his agent would keep quiet? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

He could have said something like "Yes, maybe... it's a possibility."
But no. He exactly said "No. He's staying in Barcelona. He's very happy in Catalonia."

Guys... "1+1=2". Remember this. He's not our real target.

PS: My maths can be wrong. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Like agents never lie. Yesterday they say one thing , tomorrow it's something else. He won't say a thing before the end of La Liga.

One of them is leaving. I think Eto'o will be better and cheaper option.

While I personally would prefer Eto'o over Ronaldinho, I'm not too sure about the article. Tuttomercatoweb is sometimes rather fanciful in what it reports. If Gazzetta were to have published it, I'd be a lot more optimistic.

[Edit: There IS an article in Gazzetta about meetings between Eto'o's agent and Milan directors and the sum 40 million euros was mentioned. link].

Galliani as liar >>>>> All the agents as liars (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

10R you give more $$$ to the club, more publicity, more Asian fans (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ... you think this doesn't matter for Silvio and Fininvest? He'd prefer to give 50M for Ronaldinho than 40 for Eto'o. I've no doubt about that.

Milan usually don't buy players from marketing reasons. We are not Real Madrid (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I think Carlo prefers Eto'o, plus it's up to Barca too.

Of course not. But... weren't we the ones interested in Beckham in December (to sign in the Summer)? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (Galliani confirmed it)
Ronaldo is not "another foward". We signed him for what he can give to the club off the pitch too. Everybody know who Ronaldo is.

Carlo prefers Eto'o? Maybe. But you know what player Berlusconi prefers, don't you? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

After the CL final: "It would be a dream if Ronaldinho joins us but Barcelona have to sell him. Eto'o and Shevchenko are other options too."

And it will remain a dream. Thing change. In the last few weeks we don't hear much about R10 coming. Anyway, we'll see soon enough.

R10 isn't real SS. Maybe he can play there, but we need more a forward like Eto'o or Henry who can fit better to our formation.
