QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Jun 5 2007, 03:18 PM) I don't think it is logical to call Galliani stupid (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) He has a PhD and has been with Milan for the past twenty (so) years, more than most of this forum's members actualy life span (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) He knows best. I agree with u that Gila shouldnt be sold, but since Gila actually stated to the press that he wants to move and this is also taking into consideration that Milan have given him two seasons to prove himself !! Why are u still backing him up ?? Milan just won the CL without him (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Milan doesn't need him and if now at 25 he isnt consistent nor is he living up to expectation, what do u expect of him in a couple of years time ?? Whatever ur prediction might be, Milan cant run the risk of devoting presious time on the pitch for Gilardino to come through (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Gila should be convinced to stay ?! Why ?? Has he proved anything to us over the course of 2 years ?! We have Ronaldo now .. Bring in someone who can complement him and let the team flurrish. Enough with this Gilardino cr@p! Oh please! Galliani is known to get into a couple of messes (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) phd or no phd And Gila never said that he wanted to leave, but if he felt that someone would get chosen before him just because he is the new big name and not for his on pitch work then he would think about it. Nothing wrong in what he said just being honest. And I know you like you players experianced, but come one, Ronaldo will be turning 31 next year and Pippo 34, tell me how selling a 25 year old Italian NT striker would be smart??? And when I said stupid on Galliani's part I was referring more to the fact that he would most likely sell him to Juve, a direct competitor who saw it fit to sell Zambrotta to Barca last season for less money then we offered just so that they wouldn't sell him to us. I can't see the logic in that. Next season we need depth, Gila is hopefully smart enough to know that he will get enough playing time. Pippo and R9 are great, I'm not denying that but both are injury prone, Ronaldo is still trying to get back to his peak fitness and I personally can't see him lasting an entire season playing every 2 days, neither Pippo, and even if this world class striker comes in it won't be enough. Having a proven Serie A scorer in the squad would be the most ideal and there is no one more proven then Gila in Serie A in that age bracket. I know you don't like him and all but you seriously need to lay off his back sometimes, he's not disrespecting the club by what he's saying just wants competition for places to be fair and not based on names.

I can't see the logic in that. Do you really believe in that? You mean, they had no problem to sell two players to Inter - the team that caused their relegation - but were not willing to sell to Milan!?? That's illogical to say that least... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Look at the time the Zambro-Thuram deal was announced... not only were we out of the CL but we would also start the season from -15!! That meant a probable 2 years without CL football... You think Zambro or Giuve were willing to wait!??

That meant a probable 2 years without CL football... You think Zambro or Giuve were willing to wait!?? Zambrotta actually said that this was the case in an interview a while back. And at the time inter and Juve formed some sort of friendly relatioship and us and Juve where going through a bit of an ongoing war of words through the midia. Zambrotta in this interview said himself that he preferred to go to Milan and that Juve sold him without consulting with him first. And the where his actual words, if you don't believe me look through the past threads and you will know what I'm talking about QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Jun 6 2007, 11:31 AM) Thank You (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) @han .. Then on that note, why would u keep Gilardino ?? He is 25 and a Italian NT ?! Well Donadoni thinks that Pippo should start ahead of Gilardino, why shouldn't the club think the same (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Face it, Gilardino isn't living up to expectations ... I don't understand why u r still sticking with Gila ?? He hasn't lived up to expectation. That is all I can say and I believe that Gilardino wont be a Milan player by next season. Gilardino wasn't called up because he needed surgery to his knees! As know you like experiance and all but do you believe it's wise to sell Gila at 25 after all the money and trouble we went through to bring him and still keep faith in Pippo who only probably has just another year left in him. Imo that is not wise at all

That doesn't mean Giuve did not want to sell him to Milan... Plus the deal was made one month and a half before Milan were guaranteed CL footbal. And when we were actually allowed entrance in the CL we only had one week before the end of the transfer window... Do you honestly believe Zambrotta would have waited for that long and would risk playing in Serie B? Noone waited for Milan last year and that is a fact... Zambrotta can say whatever he feels like.

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Jun 6 2007, 08:54 PM) Did I say we should just stick with Pippo ?! No .. I am totally for getting another striker. Cuz Ronaldo and Inzaghi have proven themselves on the pitch, they find the net and found the faith from the fans (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Gilardino and Oliveira didn't ... Sell one, as it stands, Oliveira is satisfied on the bench (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Then when u sell Gilardino (If they sell him), Milan will already bring in an even bigger star. And we already would have Ronaldo, Inzaghi, and Oliveira. Which is enough for each player to get his fair share on the pitch (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Yeah I know you don't really like Gila (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) but let's not compare him with Oli, Gila has scored over 30 goals for us in 2 seasons Oli has just 3 in 1. To me Gila is the best option, and why should we sell him and get another striker? He is a seasoned pro in Serie A and next season everyone knows that we will have a full calender. Oli imo has only proved himself good enough in to Coppa. Next season if we manage to keep this forward line we will be set R9, Gila, Pippo, [world class striker] That will be enough to raotate and keep EVERYONE happy for the entire season.
