QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Jun 2 2007, 12:29 AM)
By past his best I meant that he had an average season at Chelsea. Yes he was played out of position, but his overall play was awful.

I'm just annoyed that everybody hates him now he's gone. That's not how it's meant to be, you can't expect him to stay if he doesn't want to.

I myself really wanted him to stay, I think he's one of the best to ever live. But I'm not going to go on an anti-Sheva portest about it. He gave us 7 fantastic years. Without them, we'd have been stuck in the horrors of mid-table mediocrity.
*

So because he played awefull at chelsea means he was gonna play awefull at Milan too if he stayed ?? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

He's gone , he left while we needed him ! He broke our hearts ! It's normal that some people hate him .

Everyone wanted him to stay. And to make berlusconi cry , you have to pull out some real sh!t. We never needed the money as Pkillermax said , we have the richest man of Italy as our president.

So just because Sheva continues playing for Milan it means he's going to play well?

If you played for a team that you didn't support for a while, became a great at that club and Milan came in for you, you'd do the exact same thing and leave.

You have to go back and read my post. It was about how he left. Things could have been different if he didn't lie to us and betray our trust.

I know what you're saying. The way he said he was staying, then out of the blue he was gone. I can easily see why they got on some peoples nerves. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

There it is! Someone's finally said it!

Sheva was loyal too us. A players best years are usually between 25 and 30 for an outfield player. He gave us all those years, then gave us £30m to help build a team without him.

Just because he didn't stay until he wasn't good enough anymore like Boban, Albertini, Rui or Stam. Do you really think he wanted to remembered as a player in his final years that was awful and was only their for the sentimental value?

I don't think so. He was as loyal to us as anybody, give him a break.

Shevchenko had a contract with Milan. He was the one who wanted to terminate that contract. Milan is a family, whatever u need, they take care off for u .. And that person being Shevchenko ?! The whole managment, staff, players, and fans wanted Shevchenko (Who, btw, was at a decline in his career) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

He was given the captains arm band, ahead of Ambro and Rino !! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

If I could state how many things he threw away, by LYING to the fans, saying how he wanted to be like Maldini and continue with Milan, blah blah blah .. Then a week later, he is moving to Chelsea. (Go back on the Shevchenko thread, and u will see all the evidence of him walking out !) ..

Sure he gave Milan 7 years. I was the BIGGEST Shevchenko fan. But, the way he threw everything away .. Let me just stop. Cuz, I don't think the likes off Costacurta, Maldini, Albertini, Baresi, etc can be compared to Shevchenko. Shevchenko, just had the whole world spit in his face, now he wants to come back to the Milan family ?? Ohh yeah, he is a legend (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I don´t think sheva would be so stupid to go to inter, he knows what that means, and he know if he goes there he won´t win so much

Yeah. Winning a Cup in England is big, since there's only 1 on Italy I'd have thought it was even bigger. Otherwise there'd only be the Serie A title. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

The FA Cup is the oldest football "estate"... it's only logical that it's a trophy everyone wants and respects. But the Coppa, it's only for the Merda fans to avoid suicide! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'd still like to see us win it though. Once in Maldini's career is a poor record. I want the treble next season! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

If we seriously intend to do that, then we are gonna need at least 5-6 players join us. One star and some other good quality ones.
