So what? It doesn't change anything

It was for him to improve as this was like his 2nd season or something in the first team, apparently that's unloyal.

No, but you said it like you hold it against him. Loaning youngster for a year is a very common thing

I understand that you said he was loyal.

It's o.k to say that, but when you said "He was loyal yes. Maldini wasnt loaned out for a season though..." it was sounding like that just because Costacurta played one season on loan you rate Maldini a little bit higher in the loyal department.

QUOTE (Nova @ Jun 1 2007, 06:49 AM)
Costacurta aint a Milan player anymore.

Torres would have left years ago if the right right amount of money was paid. Staying cause the president said so is not loyal. He turned no one down.

Loyal ? Please ...  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
*

Ummm, apparently you don't know Torres, so I would suggest you wouldn't make up stuff. He is a very loyal player and he HAS turned down many offers so far to stay and help his favorite team. If he leaves, it will be for the good of himself and the club. I am a huge Torres fan and also I like Atletico, I probably know more about the whole Torres situation than anyone else on this forum. Torres is one of those players that needs the right club right now. He is not 30 like Totti. And Atletico are not as good a club as Roma. You have to remember that Torres was an Atletico fan ever since he was a little kid. Playing for their first team was his biggest dream. Not everybody is a twisted money-whore my friend. If any of you guys could name about 20 loyal players on the planet I'd be shocked.

Why go on about Shevchenko not being loyal because he left us.. Surely we knew he wasn't loyal because he didn't stay with the club that gave him his break?

The same can be said for millions of players. If you're not currently playing for the first professional team you played for, then you're not loyal, I think that's fair?

i'm not worried at all about these rumors. sheva isnt stupid enough to throw away the little bit of respect remaing from not only milan fans but also from the neutrals. and even if it's true, it's only going make inter look even more pathetic for beeing so hungry for revenge. it goes to show childish that team is : they make fun of us and juve while celebrating the scudetto and we say nothing so we give them a shot and it's WW3, we get ronaldo because we need him and the freak out and now they going after sheva purely for revenge. lol bunch of loser faggots.

Nice story you got there mate . he decided not to leave ?? how do you know ? Couldn't it just be cause other clubs just didnt want to pay that crazy amount of money ?

I was talking about Maldini btw , dont really know why a "child" like Torres is even mentioned being loyal compared to someone like Paolo (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) If in 10 years he's still at atletico , while resisting all the temptation , he earned the right , not now.

I never compared Torres to Maldini. Nothing can be compared to God. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Torres is an Atletico legend whether he stays or leaves. He is not just any player, he is pure class and he needs the right club with CL.

About the offers, again, please don't talk about something you don't know nothing about. The guy even stayed with them when they were relegated until with his goals, Atletico won the Segunda División to come back to La Liga. While playing in the lower division he had offers from Real and some other teams.

You are not a fan? I get it. But stop making blind assumptions.

He is not a legend yet , he's 22/23 years old for god's sake !!!!

Stop portaying him like they do on wikipedia.

Well, he had offers from all over. Not just Real. You have to remember that he grew up an Atletico fan. He watched all of their games. He grew up in their youth academy. I would understand if you said these things about a different player like let's say Nani or Anderson who jumped at the opportunity to play for a big club. But Torres has stayed so far with Atletico and he has renewed his contract almost every year so if he does leave, the club get a lot of money. For a player that wants to leave, that's suicide. He said last year that he wants to help Atletico as much as he can before he thinks about leaving.

Not a legend because of age? Age is irrelevant. Suazo is a Cagliari legend. Casillias is a Real legend and Torres, is an Atletico legend. Of course not at the same level as Maldini, Baresi and Costcurta. Those three are of a different breed. Remember, Weah is a Milan legend and he didn't even play that many seasons for us.
