I can see that lineup for Liverpool, although they started Zenden in both games against Chelsea.

They could move Gerrard outside and bench Alonso and play with 2 wingers, like in the 2nd leg... Benitez likes to mix it up

Yep, I can see him benching Alonso so that he would have 2 solid midfielders in the middle to stifle us.

I think this will be a much different game than the 2005. Milan is now more "Kaka-based", and also does not have a wide bench. I think everything is up to us...we just have to play 90 minutes whithout our usuall ups and downs. We got to make the pressure, cause the Liverpool defense isn`t the strongest one.

The players I mostly fear, beside Gerrard are Kuyt and Crouch.

Players who I still expect to improve are Oddo, Pirlo and Pippo.

Bellamy not in?

I doubt Crouch will start...

I think he will use Crouch to expose our weaknesses on set plays

Maybe, but not as a starter...Benitez will start it rather sustained, and use the Crouch-monster in second period, after our vets start to get slower.

We MUST keep a clean sheet in this match. Liverpool are only destructive, they produce nothing! It shouldn't be hard not to concede and Kaka will only need one good chance to write down history! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Kaka will definitely be marked by Sosoko or whoever they will field in the middle. But Milan has enough quality to see them off .. Seedorf, Pirlo, Inzaghi, and Sergio are enough to push their defense to the limits and break away with at least 2 goals.


About us not conceding ?? We must also watch out for any tactical changes Benitez makes.
During the nightmare in Istanbul all they did was having six lucky minutes and close down Kaka in the middle.
I don't want that to happen again...

The 6 minutes, believe it or not, was down to our players acting too confident and careless as they got a 3 - 0 lead at half time. No team would concede 3 goals in one half, not at this level, NOT in a final.

Milan played the whole game, Liverpool took advantage of Milan when they took their foot off the gas for a couple of minutes. But then, Milan went right back at it.


I don't think Milan would just have revenge in their minds, as much as they are drolling over the CL cup. Even if we had to play a team made off :

That is how I see it, Milan are VERY VERY hungry for this trophy and the chance to play Liverfool again simplifies the objective to one word; vendetta.
