People... don't be too excited about the match. We're facing the #1 team in England which love to counter-attack... and that's exactly what they're going to do on Wednesday.

They're a much younger team than us, and their stamina is simply outstanding compared to our.

I know it's just 1-0 and we'll be in the final and we never lost a CL knock-out against them. But, this year is way different. They're on top... and we're having a special season after calciocaos.

Let's keep it calm. If we make history again, good. If not... with this team, to go this far on the CL this year is something we should be proud of.

Exactly, we are in a very difficuilt position after the first leg.

We have a much lesser chance of going through, let's not forget, this is not Bayern they are way better and won't let us out play them for 90 minutes and do as we please, we could get killed off by a counter in a matter of a few seconds

In all fairness, being the number 1 team in England is like saying England's the number 1 team in the UK, there's hardly any competition.

Chelsea are of course doing well, but that's all the competition they have. Liverpool and Arsenal have both had very poor seasons. If it wasn't for Rafa's brilliance in the CL, he wouldn't be their right now.

Man United are the only team in England, they are clearly the best, but that doesn't mean they're better than us. As we proved in the first leg, Kaka only needs 5 seconds with space and they will be punished, they're not good enough to cope with him.

But like Porty said, we should be proud of reaching the semi finals this year. We should be proud of that any year, in my eyes the season has been a success considering what's happened.

But this CL achievement doesn't mean that the season was well prepared. I don't forget last Summer and how frustated it was (transfers), even with the calciocaos.

Rafael Sobis, Ibrahimovic, Crespo, Zambrotta... and some others.

^^
All those guys apart from Sobis (who? he's unproven...) had already signed for their current teams BEFORE UEFA officially said we could participate in the CL...

I don't think another management could have done anything significantly better.

I agree with Porty right here ... If we go through, we make history, if we don't we already made it by reaching the semi finals with this team (although in my eyes are great, but lack youth).

What you lack in youth, you gain in experience.

Paul 'God' McGrath couldn't even train when he played for Villa his knees were so bad, he was an alcoholic and couldn't run at all.

But he's possibly still the best defender the Premiership has ever had (I believe John Terry is the only other defender to win player of the season?)

He didn't need pace, skill or elegance on the ball. He could read the game better than anyone, and could tackle better than anyone.

I agree having youth is a good thing. But I wouldn't trade the majority of our old players for anyone.

Hehe no, u can ask anyone in here, I am notoriously about having a 100% experienced squad with zero youth (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

But I said it as a means to give us comfort in knowing that this is the limit to which our great team could go to (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

i believe man u is going to come in this game with a defensive mind set. they are going to want to get out of the san siro with a 0-0 as quickly as possible. i don't think we're going to be seeing too many counter-attacks from this.

i think this is where milan are going to do well...just like we did at bayern

From what I've seen so far in the papers all of their players talk about 'holding the 3-2 advantage that they have'.

It doesn't seem like they're going to come out to attack, but with the defenders they have available, that's the only thing they can do. Defending that slim lead, with those poor defenders is suicide.

We are in a good position. It's a decisive game at San Siro when the only thing we need is to win. I see us as favorites to go through.

Uniteds last games away in the CL haven't been impressive. The lost 2:1 to Roma in a game that could have ended with a bigger loss and played badly against Lille.

Rino and Paolo will probably play. They are still missing theirs key defenders which will be more meaningful on wednesday since they are gonna spent much more time defending than in the first game. I just hope Pippo will be in a good shape cuz we lacked a class striker in CL all year (If only Ronaldo could play...). They maybe have more pace but our experience should be more significant in a such game.

We need to bring to Paolo that last cup. The best player of his generation should end his career on a high note.

We knocked PSV and Ajax out in the last minute in recent years, we also scored 2 late goals against Lyon to end their hopes.

I'd say we've had luck on our side more in comparison to our opponents in recent years.
*

true but then after psv we lost to liverpool in the most cruel fashion(that should be enough karma for us to win 2 CLs) and then going out to barca and hhaving that foul called on sheva as he scored .... oh and we cant forget depor... so thats 3 years in a row... theres been a lot of surprise finalists in the last few years so that means we must go thru!

I hope United get all their injured back for this game, cuz Milan will break their spines (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)
