When the Don wants a manager out he doesn't give him financial backing, he's done it before. But when we get a new manager the Don gives him a helping hand. That is why I reckon that either calo will be gone(my dream (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ) and we will spend or carlo will stay with some Galliani freebies(my nightmare (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) )

Actually Silvio, in the past 5 yrs didnt spend much .. 25M on Sheva in 99 ..Rui 30M, then Inzaghi in 2002 30M ... But that was what in the span of 5 yrs that is all he spent. Plus, the Sheva transfer was from his own coffers, not the clubs.

Carlo isn't the problem here, it is Silvio's vision. And that vision has gotten Milan at the top. U don't need to turn this into drama, cuz at the end of the day, no matter how hard we try to get our point of view across, I doubt Silvio checks this forum. He'll just go with what he feels best, and that I trust 110% (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Berlusconi wants many things. He'd love to f@ck Aida Yespica but the truth is, he can't get it up anymore. I don't want always what Berlusconi wants. I may like Yespica but not R20 too!

In fact I'd rather have the Galliani transfers instead of R20! I don't want his buck teeth or his commercials in Milan plus this town is far too fashion-addicted for his Nike bandeaus!! He can twist them round playing for Barcelona and Brazil but I wouldn't like to see him go to Milanello only whenever he feels like it. And yeah Berlusconi said he wouldn't allow that but your b!tch has so many contracts to follow he don't get the time to got pee...  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

He's not worth half that money in my opinion and he would come alone. That means he can't cover up for our shitty and slow defence and midfield. Or are we going to win every game 4-3!?? Do not only look at the team now, in 2 years' time we're gonna need 3 brand new midfielders and 2 new full-backs... do you wanna live the season we're going through at the moment again?? I'm absolutely sure you don't!

And Berlusconi never said he wouldn't spend E60m to reinforce Milan!

It's not what we want and it's not what Galliani wants. Silvio is paying out of his pockets for R10. Milan will conduct their transfers as usual, if R10 is to come, it would be dictated and financed by Silvio Berlusconi. That is the line u have to draw ..

As much as u wouldn't like him here, it is kind of vague right now, whether he come or not. But, be sure if he does, that Galliani and Carlo have no say into his transfer. Looking at the potential transfers; non look more appealing than R10 atm, maybe Buffon but that is if he decides to leave, Milan will definatelly make a move, whether they go for R10 or not doesn't matter (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

If Milan was to retiere Costacurta and Co. Be sure, reinforcments will come in, and ones with quality and experience. So don't go hoping for Alves (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

When costacurta leaves we have marzoratti to replace him when maldini leaves we have antonelli to replace him

whether they will be good enough or not is a different question

Well I'm not the biggest Ancelotti admirer but then again where does this come from?? Do we know which players Carlo wants? You think they'd let him speak in public about that? Or did he want to spend E20m on Oliveira? I doubt he ever had watched him play before!  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Funny that carlo took over in 2002 when The Don last spent big(IMG:http://www.coolsmileys.net/wink/wink.gif)

I thought The Don spent €100million in 2002 without the €25m on Sheva plus the €25m he spent on Gila. €150m over 5 years is rather a lot of money in my book.

On Gila it was 17m to be exact ... and 5 years from now does date back to 2002 (IMG:http://www.coolsmileys.net/wink/wink.gif) ... My point was, to shed light on the club will spend their $$ without our consent (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) 150m over 5 years is alot of money (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Go tell that to Abramovic, Laporta, Angieli, Moratti, and Perez .. Then come and tell me it is alot of money. Milan didn't spend much, when you want to compare it to the top clubs, the managment has spent the least (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

p.s. my point wasn't to play cat and mouse, but to shed light on whatever the club decides to do with the $$, they will do it without our consent.

Gila was £17m which is roughly €23m (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Resorting to sarcasm because you know that I was right...Oh dear!

You said that Don Silvio hadn't spent much money to which I showed you that he had spent at least €150m since 2002 which would equate to €30m a year - a lot of money in anyone's book. I also explained that the Don will help a new manager out(like in '02 with carlo), but when he doesn't back a manager he won't spend his cash(unless the fans riot like they did for Gila (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ). So I stand by what I say when I say the only way R10 and Buffon will come will be if carlo goes (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

This is where I don't agree with you.

If Silvio wanted Carlo out then he would have sent him packing a long time ago, after Istanbul would have been a great time to do it.

But he didn't. You say this yourself also, what Silvio wants, Silvio gets. So if he wanted Carlo out then he wouldn't hesitate for a second to sack him.

^^^^^^

What han says...exactly what he says.

Silvio can't remove Carlo, coz he's been the only coach Milan have had who looks even remotely likely to replicate the successes of Capello and Sacchi. Arguably Milan's greatest era since Gre-No-Li....I could be wrong though. My history is a bit off.

Under Carlo I don't ever remember Milan being not contenders. 6th consecutive time quarter finalists...so on and so forth. And if we win against Bayern(admittedly a big IF), we become third consecutive time semi-finalists. Or is it fourth.

As for Serie A. Honestly this season has been a sham and you know it. Transfer wise, player-form wise, player-injury wise and not exactly been the best refereeing either.

The Don won't publicly go about getting carlo out he'll just not give him money to spend - He has done it before (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

But he is not the one spending the money....It's Braida and Galliani.

Carlo is just another employee like the players. That's the way it is in Italy. He has no say whatsoever.

Besides this season, I can't find one season where Carlo has screwed us up.

So what are you looking for ? an applause ?? Why because you figured out that a football club spends big when it appoints a new coach ?! Give me a break, if Milan changes coaches, Silvio will still buy whoever he sees fit and will tell the coach that it's my way or the highway. So, even if Carlo stays, there won't be a change in the clubs transfer targets .. i.e. Maldini and Costacurta will retire this season, and considering Carlo is staying, they will be replaced. And no, not by novice defenders from the primavera.

The problem is, you don't quit understand that 30M and 20M are no where close to what some other clubs pay to get players. Chelsea bought Essian for close to 40M and Shevchenko for 45M Drogba 36M, Madrid bought Zidane for close to 70M and Beckham close to 50M Diarra anyone ??... (Just to make the long list short, those clubs can outbid anyone on the market, that is why Milan needed confirmation that they will be the only club R10 would sign for)

But u know what 30M is a lot in anyones book, but that book excludes Billionaires, cuz they see Millions, how anyone sees thousands .. and noones see hundreds .. and hundreds see everyone (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Therefore, Carlo's appointment saw Carlo deal with the squad he already has (that the club brings in), Carlo requested a couple of players like Inzaghi, but the bulk of players are what the club gave him .. Didn't he want Emerson ?? The club gave him Broochi.

A new coach would ease Silvio into spending more ?? He still is gonna acquire R10 u know, whether the new coach wants him or not, or even if Carlo continues .. As for Buffon, well IF Juventus agree to sell him, that is the ONLY way he would come to us.

150M (approx) Silvio spent during Carlo's reign ? Okay, now explain to me Abramovic, Perez, Moratti, etc .. Hell Moratti hasn't won anything notable (except recently) and he spent Millions like coins as if he was playing the slot machine. The coach doesn't set the standards, well he might at Villareal or Newcatle, but not at a top team.

And even if ur right about the 17M difference to the 26M ... it wasn't even the point of the argument.

Point to take into consideration : Appointing a new coach doesn't mean more $$$ will be spent, even with the current coach. If the board likes him, they will continue to maintain the team the way they would, even if they appoint a new one. vis versa it all works that way. The club wont consider any of our views, they have a pretty professional view on how they like to deal with their team. It is one thing to dislike Carlo, but it is another to claim that Silvio will break the bank with a new coach. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
