@han ...

U cant compare MVB to Shevchenko; cuz the first is the best striker that ever played .. The later is the highest goal scorer for this club.

The difference between the players that I mentioned and Gila, is that these strikers have gotten Milan scudettos, a CL(s), etc etc (cups..) .... These players have left their mark in the history of this club ..

Shevchenko came to Milan when he was 22 .. But u see, he was a player that was such an extraordinary striker that Madrid kept taping him for 3 summers straight .. Then Chelsea came and paid 30M pounds for him. .... 30M pounds for a 30 yr old worn out Shevchenko (takin about his form b4 he left us) ?! But u know what ?! at 30 he is better than Gila at 24, so can u imagine how good sheva was when he was, like as old as Gila ?!

Point is, u dont need to defend Gila .. Cuz I didnt say anything but he is not living to expectations .. And now that it is crucial for us to reach at least 4th in the league and show some face in the CL, who do u think Carlo would field ?! Pippo, R9, or Gila ... I think it'll be in this order; R9 then Inzaghi, then Gila.

Nothing personal, but play time is over ... It's been a whole season and he still hasnt found his form ( I'v never seen him on form for Milan btw ) ...

Being a striker is a very sensitive responsibilty. Just like being a goalkeeper. Gourcuff is a midfielder and a damn good one at that. He is NOT a striker.... Neither is Gattuso nor Dida...

BTW, everyone here blamed Pirlo for playing poorly most of this season... So it's not just Gila. Now Pirlo has undeniable class... While Gila... Well... has a hot girlfriend...
*

Gila has class, but hasn't showed that yet in the Milan shirt. And I'm pretty sure he will.

But I agree with you, Gila has been bad this season, but so has everyone else. So we shouldn't blame our failures this season just on him.

I think you just basically said the same thing I did, when I say you can't compare the 2 I mean it's because guys like Sheva and MVB are on a different level to anyone else.

Back to the initial topic guys...

I think we should get R10 and Alves this summer. And Torres if possible (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) btw he scored against madrid (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I think we should make it a priority to sign Torres especially when Ronaldo leaves, but i would prefer to get him in the summer so he can settle down and get used to the squad

We will need a seedorf replacement in a few years, Robben maybe? although it will be hard to get him. This position we can worry more about later

A word class centre back will be needed, i like Barzagli a lot but i hear that Juve are more likely to sign him. im not sure we can rely on Marzoratti yet, but he does have potential so he is one for the future

And if Dida leaves we need to replace him with an equal, Buffon undoubtedly although if we cant get him Amelia may not be so bad

We are already complaining about 'inept' players, why bring another one? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

QUOTE (Bluesummers @ Feb 24 2007, 05:28 PM)
And NO rooney is not as good as he is.  If you look at Rooney's record and Gila's record you would see what i mean.  Rooney is one of the worst strikers in the world to have on one's team because A of his attitude and B of his demand to be flurished with the ball 24/7.
*

i'm no rooney fan, and i love to diss him to piss off man u fans but you cant say he's bad to have on ur team. if ur a man u you just love him cuz he's so temperamental and intense because he wants to win, thats a positive influence on everyone on a team. i can think of a similar player who's just as aggresive e.i. gattuso and we all love him here, ask anyone who doesnt like milan and they hate gattuso. as far as ball hogging well i can think of someone who's way worse ->C. Ronaldo. anyways rooney likes to hold on to the ball outside the box and sets up his teammates (he set up the giggs goal against fulham today). that said rooney plays deep and carry the ball from midfield so he's nevcer gonna score as much as poacher (like gila) so you cant compare ronneys goalscoring record vs. gilas.

What makes rooney so good is that how his team feeds him the ball and how they position themselves. I dont hate rooney i just dont think he is as good as everyone thinks he is. Gila i think is better, but he hasn't showed it yet. Gila is not a terrible striker. The reason he can't score is because of the way milan play. Sure some of his chances should have been goals but you gotta agree with me here when i say that shevchenko got much more balls with alot higher quality than gila has. Pirlo and Gattuso have lost a bit of edge in my oppinion. If they supply gila properly from the midfield i'm sure he'll score.

ya thats true, especially in pirlos case. since the world cup it's like he doesnt have anything to proove. obviously thats no excuse, but it could partially explain his poor form.

Yeah man, andy has been looking great for these past few games, he was good against Siena, but stepped it up a notch against Celtic, and yesterday he came on and made all the difference

This is my team for next season:

Buffon
zambrotta ---Nesta----------Bonera--------janku
Pirlo

Gatuso----------------- Seedorf

KAKA

Torres--------------------------G.Rossi

Why do we need Ronaldinho Kaka does the same job AND he is much younger. I put Bonera in the middle because he really impressed me in the recent match against Livorno. Our midfield is okay we just need a stronger Def. another CB we could use is Kompany and either Buffon or a good young Mexican keeper Ocacha or someting like that lol. Torres and Rossi because they are the perfect baance of strenght and power or also Pazzini of Fiorentina is a good young italian. Young players would be best for the spots we need to fill.

Interesting team maldini03 (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I don't think it'll happen, but interesting anyway (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Torres would be great, but Athletico seem to want the world for him.

My team for 07/08:

CODE
           Buffon
Oddo - Bonera - Nesta - Janku
Gattuso - Pirlo - Gourcuff
Kaka - Ronaldo - Ronaldinho
