@han ...
U cant compare MVB to Shevchenko; cuz the first is the best striker that ever played .. The later is the highest goal scorer for this club.
The difference between the players that I mentioned and Gila, is that these strikers have gotten Milan scudettos, a CL(s), etc etc (cups..) .... These players have left their mark in the history of this club ..
Shevchenko came to Milan when he was 22 .. But u see, he was a player that was such an extraordinary striker that Madrid kept taping him for 3 summers straight .. Then Chelsea came and paid 30M pounds for him. .... 30M pounds for a 30 yr old worn out Shevchenko (takin about his form b4 he left us) ?! But u know what ?! at 30 he is better than Gila at 24, so can u imagine how good sheva was when he was, like as old as Gila ?!
Point is, u dont need to defend Gila .. Cuz I didnt say anything but he is not living to expectations .. And now that it is crucial for us to reach at least 4th in the league and show some face in the CL, who do u think Carlo would field ?! Pippo, R9, or Gila ... I think it'll be in this order; R9 then Inzaghi, then Gila.
Nothing personal, but play time is over ... It's been a whole season and he still hasnt found his form ( I'v never seen him on form for Milan btw ) ...

QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Feb 24 2007, 11:19 PM) Being a striker is a very sensitive responsibilty. Just like being a goalkeeper. Gourcuff is a midfielder and a damn good one at that. He is NOT a striker.... Neither is Gattuso nor Dida... BTW, everyone here blamed Pirlo for playing poorly most of this season... So it's not just Gila. Now Pirlo has undeniable class... While Gila... Well... has a hot girlfriend... Gila has class, but hasn't showed that yet in the Milan shirt. And I'm pretty sure he will. But I agree with you, Gila has been bad this season, but so has everyone else. So we shouldn't blame our failures this season just on him. QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Feb 24 2007, 11:54 PM) @han ... I think you just basically said the same thing I did, when I say you can't compare the 2 I mean it's because guys like Sheva and MVB are on a different level to anyone else.

QUOTE (whoarethepatriots @ Feb 25 2007, 06:30 PM) We will need a seedorf replacement in a few years, Robben maybe? although it will be hard to get him. This position we can worry more about later We are already complaining about 'inept' players, why bring another one? Yeah man, andy has been looking great for these past few games, he was good against Siena, but stepped it up a notch against Celtic, and yesterday he came on and made all the difference
