pippo (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) = PATO (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

I wouldn't mind swapping Buffon for Gila as long as they bring a really quality striker like Eto'o (my dream signing who might be available (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif) )/Torres

Milan has to get rid of Gila .. !! That is a must. There is no more room for mistakes or complacency. two seasons, and nothing consistent from him. A flop.

Buffon for Gila .. In a heart beat ...

I did not know he is a rossoneri...but, I know that he is 26 years old wich (under the present circumstances in International football) isn`t that young. I don`t think he is a good idea, but maybe, as a bench alternative, like Dhorasoo was.

Eto`o? Am I the only one who thinks that he would not make it in Milan? And even if, his transfer to Milan is very unlike, just like Drogbas or Adrianos. Even more, if you assume that Rijkaard will join us next season..

If I would be in the position, and had to choose between Eto`o and Rijkaard, I would momentarily pick Rijkaard. At least in Milans case...we need tacticall freshness, new ideas and suprises, we need change. Don`t think I wan`t Carlo out, I love the man and admire all he done for Milan (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif) . I`d be happy to see him getting some other job in our club.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) At the Gila bashing again, it really get's tiring. Ok he missed a good chance so what??? Every striker does so.

And if this has something to do with the dive then just spare it, footballers do it in every match, yesterday it was Gila today it's someone else.

Classy players like Henry dive blatantly in pretty much every game they play. Christiano Ronaldo averages about 5 dives per match and even the guy who we held so high up dives (Sheva) look at his dives in one of the domestic cup games to get a penalty recently, that was as bad as Gila's. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

It's just getting ridiculous, Sheva had a terrible season with us once and I know a LOT of people who wanted him out, but that didn't happen and he proved those doubters wrong. Gila will do the same.

I know I keep defending him and I sound like a broken record, but I can feel it that he will be great for us, just like I felt Pirlo would be when everyone was saying that we had bought Inter's rubbish when we got him.

Even though I think Gila has been given more than enough time to prove himself and he hasn't succeeded in doing so I would still keep him. BUT not if this supposed deal was true, then I would definitely swap him for Buffon!!

I don't think Carletto would be keeping Gila, if he thought he were crap. If it weren't for his patience, we would never see the real Andy P.

I'll always vote for Gila, since with Gila you're assured 110% effort, and minimal star consciousness. And that Gila has class is also something few question. Now if everyone is hellbent on making Gila the next Sheva, then I'm afraid we're trying to ski uphill. Sheva is the second highest goal scorer in European competitions...so go figure.

Now question is do we swap Gila for Buffon??

Tough since, we haven't been given an inkling of who his replacement will be. For me Gila is definitely among the top 10 goal poachers in the world, and Milan's style is such that we always require poachers.

So is Buffon as important as we think he is?

1. He's the best shot stopper in the world.
2. Does not goof off.
3. Can give at least 6 years of good service.

So we gain a striker and are left with Oli and Ron? I do not like the idea of a team being carried by one striker. I honestly think Oli is a no-show...at least this season, and god knows about the next. Maybe the news that we was just purchased as an appetizer for R10 broke his heart or something.

Of course if we could get Trez on a free transfer, I'd think about it.

Great post Jack, as always. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

But Trez is old and won't be good for more then 2 years max.

Buffon is a dream of mine, and of course I would love to have him at Milan. Swapping him for Gila? I don't know, I would seriously think about it, even though I still have a strong belief that he will come good. But this deal is hardly realistic.

@dst, I don't know what you mean when you say we've given him enough chances, he came last season and for a debut season it was pretty good. This season as I said in another post has been just horrible, and it wan't just Gila, it was the whole team, starting from the defence to the whole attack, from Gila, to Oli, to Pippo.

He is our top scorer at the moment so I think considering the circumstances this season, he has done well also.

Missing that chance against Celtic doesn't merit all this back lash he is suddenly recieving

I'll go a step further. Having a bad season doesn't merit all the backlash he's been receiving. I'm fed up of this Milan-quality, non-Milan quality labels we keep sticking, as if our club should be filled with a team of androids or something, who day in and day out do nothing but score, mechanically, emotionless. Ugh!

R7 is worried that Gila might be another Gianluigi Lentini. I don't blame him, but I still vote for a couple of more seasons.

Ok replying to the topic title...

I would personally like Eto'o if he is available at a cut price deal and Quaresma of Porto, once again if the price wasn't too inflated.
