Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuf what a game!

All in all our defense is a serie C quality, hopefully we have someone who can score more then one goal, our attack was great and our defense a huge peace of cr@p, and it's not just one player but the whole f@cking defense and midfield I blame!

This is not our defence!! We have Nesta and we have Maldini and we have Oddo... with Cafu and Kaladze at the back it's like we're fielding a 9-men squad!!

Siena 3 - 4 Milan

Ronaldo 15, 81 (M), Vergassola 18 (S), Ricardo Oliveira 29 (M), Maccarone 30, 89 (S), Ambrosini 94 (M)
Stadio Franchi

Ronaldo bagged a brace in his first Milan start, but it took a heart-stopping finale to secure the points in this seven-goal thriller!

The Rossoneri aimed to continue their climb towards the Champions League spots, but were wary of a side that had already held them to a goalless draw at San Siro earlier this season. Ronaldo was given his first start after last week's 30-minute debut in an all-Brazilian trident attack, but Clarence Seedorf joined the weighty injury list with Dida, Zeljko Kalac and Alessandro Nesta among others. Enrico Chiesa was out with a flu bug.

Kaka flicked an Andrea Pirlo free kick on to the roof of the net, then Cristian Brocchi went on a strong run to set up Ricardo Oliveira. From the resulting corner, Oliveira nodded Pirlo's set-piece just past the near post.

When Milan broke through after 15 minutes, it was that man on the scoresheet: Il Fenomeno. His first Rossoneri goal was a looping header from Pirlo's cross that floated over Alex Manninger and into the far corner. Ronaldo was buried in hugs from his teammates for his first Serie A goal since April 28, 2002.

However, the lead did not last long, as Siena equalised three minutes later. The defence struggled to clear a cross and Simone Vergassola coolly side-footed home from the penalty spot.

Ronaldo has said he wishes to answer his critics and showed he still has pace by out-sprinting two Siena defenders, although at the other end Daniele Corvia's spin was just wide.

Milan's Selecao trio upfront combined beautifully for their second goal on the half-hour mark. Kaka started the move, Ronaldo carried on the ball for Ricardo Oliveira's precise angled drive into the far corner.

Incredibly, the lead lasted all of 50 seconds! Once again, Siena fought back vehemently and Massimo Maccarone scored his first goal since returning from the Premiership, a splendid angled strike on the bounce.

It was a very entertaining game and Oliveira again went close, hitting the side-netting from Kaka's through ball. Ronaldo side-footed wide of an open goal after he had sprung the offside trap and sent Manninger the wrong way.

Marco Storari did not deal with a corner very well and Daniele Portanova's follow-up was charged down in front of an open goal. Ronaldo nodded Pirlo's free kick on to the roof of the net, clattering into the upright as he did so. Yoann Gourcuff came on and within 30 seconds skimmed the woodwork from eight yards.

Milan were forced to play the final 12 minutes in 10 men after Brocchi hacked down Ciccio Cozza with a very late and high tackle that was nowhere near the ball.

It didn't matter, though, as at their most difficult moment the Brazilians came together. Kaka rode tackles down the right and rolled across for Ronaldo to tap in his brace from six yards.

It still wasn't over, as Siena really do never say die. With Brocchi sent off and Ronaldo on the sidelines for treatment, Maccarone had all the time he needed to gather a corner kick and fire into the far top corner from seven yards, making it 3-3 at the Stadio Franchi.

Substitute Massimo Ambrosini rose for a header and brought a spectacular save out of Manninger. From the resulting corner Ambrosini again got hold of the ball, his effort floating just millimetres above Vergassola's attempted goalline clearance with the last kick of the game. It may have taken a deflection off Kaka along the way.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Siena: Manninger; Bertotto, Gastaldello, Portanova, Molinaro; Antonini, Codrea (Galloppa 84), Vergassola; Cozza (Locatelli 80); Maccarone, Corvia (Frick 59)

Milan: Storari; Cafu (Oddo 74), Bonera, Kaladze, Jankulovski; Gattuso, Pirlo (Gourcuff 74), Brocchi; Kakà; Ronaldo, Ricardo Oliveira (Ambrosini 78)

Ref: Messina

Sent off: Brocchi 78 (M)

What a wonderful and breath-taking game to watch as a football fan, yet what a dreadful and heart-stopping, nervous racking game to watch as a Milan fan... My heart was literally about to make a hole in my chest... WOW! Phew.....

It all ended well and we got the 3 points and we should ne happy about it! But Milan need work. Even though our attack was wonderfully lively today, our defense was more dead than my dead grandpa...

Here are the ratings:

Storari(4.5): It really doesn't say much about Storari when you wish Kalac was in his place... It also tells you a lot when the number of goals you concede exceeds the number of actual saves you made... Kalac is a better 2nd choice goalie. I know, he makes those crazy blunders, but you can't deny that he CAN also pull off some impossible saves!

Bonera(5): After we conceded the 2nd goal, Bonera pretty much gave up. And that's down to his age and the fact that he is still inexperienced. He did very well in the first half.

Kaladze(4.5): He was horrific to say the least. It's not about individual errors. It's about how you read a game and how you make a partnership with the other defenders. He failed in all those aspects today.

Cafu(5): Nothing special. In my opinion, Cafu is a closed book. His story was over a while ago...

Jankulovski(5.5): The only reason he is not getting a 6 is because he failed to help the defense while he did a great job pushing forward. Jankulovski knows he needs to become a complete LB, NOT a LMF that has been slightly pushed back...

Brocchi(5.5): Brocchi was good today. Surprisingly fast and attacking minded. He linked up well with Kaka and Janku. But his red card was a huge blow to a team that was already struggling. The ref did the right thing. If someone tackled our player from the back like that, I would expect the same.

Gattuso(6.5): Gattuso is Gattuso. He does things for the team that others dare to do. He does the dirty work and then passes the ball along. The third goal was a result of Gattuso's great build up.

Pirlo(6): It is no question that Pirlo is a lost cause this season, but he pushed himself today and also had an assist. It was a great decision by Carletto to sub him in the 2nd half has was starting to struggle again.

Kaka(6.5): Kaka is getting back in form and it's very obvious that all he needs is playing time to get back into the game's rythm. We all saw that in the second half he cause more and more problems for Siena and also assisted Milan's 3rd goal.

Oliveira(6): He was constantly attacking and annoying Siena today. He was not his usual boring self... he was everywhere... making challenges and shots and pretty much being an unstoppable threat. He definitely deserved the goal he scored. One and assist and one goal in 2 games is great for a player that was about to be sold and was struggling for form just a while back. Now he needs to work on his endurance.

Ronaldo(8): WOW! What a performance... I couldn't believe it.. He scored the first goal and he wasn't done! He was hungry for more and just after I thought he was too tired to go on, he scored his second and it was beautiful... His first reminded me of Crespo's goal against Manchester United in the CL two years ago. Ronaldo did miss one great chance, but that is to be forgiven as he showed that he was gonna make up for it and he did. And eve though he was being hacked down left and right and at the end looked like he was seriously in pain, he got right back up to help his teammate win the game and it was utterly emotional for me to watch as a die-hard Milan fan... It was beautiful!

Oddo(5.5): He came on and tried to make a difference but didn't get the chance to actually do so. But he is not a quitter.

Gourcuff(5.5): Same exact thing as Oddo. But he was more of a threat for Siena and they had no choice but to pull their men back since Gourcuff was pushing forward.

Ambrosini(7): It was yet ANOTHER day to remember for the struggling midfielder as he scored what had to be the most breath-taking goal ALL SEASON. His header was saved by Manninger and then he scored on the following corner with everything he had! Ambrosini might not be consistent, but sure is a TRUE ROSSONERI! And if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have as many wonderful memories of Milan as we do now. Forza Ambro!

Ancelotti(6): It wasn't always easy to decide between a great attack, but he made the right choices and it paid off more than once, BUT 3 TIMES!! His choice of playing Kaladze in place of Captain Maldini was to be understood and as Paolo is being saved for the Celtic game and same for Oddo. But I do believe Gourcuff needs to play becaus one, he is great and two he needs to develop and gain confidence, NOT the other way around!

Forza Milan!

I knew it, i warned everyone that sotrari is capable of amazing saves but is also capable of the worst blunders and thats why a big club hasnt picked him up till us. and i think it's good this happened to silence those that wanted him ahead of dida.

All on top-form? I don't think so. Anyway, I just want Dida to be 150% to get back to the first 11.

Dida is a CL winner .. DIda is a WC winner .. Dida on one-on-one situations is better. Dida has some howlers sometimes, but all-in-all, is more experienced and is a Rossoneri !! Therefore he is #1

Buffon, just recently wont the WC. And is a GREAT GK .. But in my book there is only Dida, if he was to leave us, then Buffon would be the next in line .. But so far, I feel relaxed with Dida at the posts !

Cech ?! Who ?! Yeah a ver good GK .. But hasn't impressed me much when I compare him to Dida and Buffon ..Sure he has a promising future, but so does Casillas (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Oh i know. i dont think anyone here on milan fan wanted him but i read the responses of some fans elsewhere and thought he should be ahead of dida LOL i bet none of them had even herd of him before. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) but ya on all thre goals he doesnt know what he doing, then 2nd was a good shot but he jumps the wrong way so he made it impossible to save, just a terrible game by him (even tho i dint see the full game). and this guy has to play the celtic game (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
