I want a dutch striker !!! Some one called Van Persie
*

Overrated diver. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

And he's def' not a striker. Maybe a winger.
And in that position he is what? The 10th in the European ranking? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Ronaldinho (he plays as LW in Barcelona), Ronaldo (ManUtd), Robben, Joaquin, Vicente, Robinho (lately he played as LM/LW), etc... better and experienced guys than the dutch one.

Van Persie has still a lot to prove. Anyway, Milan don't buy wingers like Carletto said last Summer.

I always see Van Persie as more of a striker rather then a winger.

But still he is one of my favs at the moment

A pure striker is that kind of player that usually play inside the box. Likes of Trezeguet, Ruud van Nistelrooy, etc.

I don't see Van Persie like that. Maybe as a 2nd foward... but I think with his speed he should play on the wings. Usually he does, but he's not a first 11 player in Arsenal yet (just playing right now because Adebayor and Henry are out). Even his goals usually start on the wings going to the middle and trying his long-range shot.

I meant that I see him more as a forward (didn't mean a pure finisher or anything like that).

Still winger or not I would love it if he came to Milan, his versetility is something we lack.

He is exactly the kind of footballer that we r missing .. He picks up the ball from mdfield and dribbles it into the box, exactly how Sheva used to do. In the past 2 seasons w/ Arsenal, he was used as a winger .. But he is a pure 2nd forward, or at least he could be molded as such with charactoristics that he has.

Molded? I don't think Milan will buy players in a near future to "mold" them into new places. At least I don't believe.

Well, Cristano Ronaldo could also be molded as that. And he's stronger, much better, less diver and 2 years younger than the dutch one. He already played in that position (behind the inbox striker) in the Portuguese NT. But I undestand you like the left-footed dutch. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

But I don't think they're even close to the "Sheva type". Maybe David Villa is the closest one I remember...

I really don't think RVP can play italian style football. Arsenal has a way different style than milan does. Milan are more conservative and create chances from build up plays. Arsenal are what i call the heavy hitting CA's. All of there players are incredibly fast and can all do the gay a$$ tapins quite well. For a striker i think we should consider barreto(hes really young/brazillian), which we can build up or go all out and buy an amazing striker like torres. RVP is entering his prime soon so he will also have a hard time changing his playing style.

I think for the next season we should try and get one between Torres, Villa or Suazo. They're the kind of strikers we're really missing.

Van Persie is not overrated.
His statistics are better than Drogba's I think.

I mean he played less games as Drogba, and still has a high scoring quote

Molded as in Pirlo was molded to fit that role, though he has been brought in as an attacking mdfielder .. That was under Carlo's watch too (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Van Persie would be a good choice along Torres, and David Villa ..

I don't know about C.Ronaldo .. Obviously he is showing his quality on the highest of stages at the moment, but I just cant believe that the time of Figo and Rui Costa is done with (those were the good old days (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) ) .. I think Ronaldo is a bit selfish in his game, maybe cuz he demonstarates a one-man-show (just like R10), or it could be that Milan don't use wings as you have stated. Even if he can play as a 2nd striker, in Serie A if he doesn't move the ball to the next in line within 5sec .. He's gonna be ***** with slide tackles !! In which ever way we look at it, I can agree w/ u that he is showing signs of maybe oine day getting the Balon d'Ore (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Next Summer preview:

Torres » ManUtd
Villa » Liverpool
Suazo » Inter (or even this January) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
