Are we seriously going after the guy that can't even get into the starting 11 of a serie B team???
*

that Serie B team are so obsessed with Del Piero that he'll play till he's 56 (at 57 he's just too old (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )... Bojinov is way better than that used-to-be-great-player!!

He didn't even start a lot of gtames for Fiorentina either last season.

But anyway if we go for him at least he isn't cup tied, so that is one good thing...

As I don't count on Borriello anymore, Bojinov is young (20) and could be a good add for the team. Who knows if he explodes in Milan and becomes a world class player?

He's not an inbox striker, he's strong, so I'd welcome him.

I thought he was only on-loan to Juventus (full ownership from Fiorentina). (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Bojinov blocks Cassano move
Sunday 31 December, 2006

Antonio Cassano’s move to Milan could be abandoned in favour of Juventus benchwarmer Valeri Bojinov.

The Italian international is set to leave Real Madrid in January, just a year after his arrival from Roma, due to poor form and repeated rows with the club hierarchy, including Coach Fabio Capello.

While the Rossoneri look ready to sign a new striker to reinforce the side next month, Cassano could be considered more trouble than he is worth at the moment.

It’s reported the main sticking point is his future, as Cassano insists on a permanent move, whereas Milan would prefer a loan deal with an option to buy.

Instead, newspapers now report that Carlo Ancelotti is looking closer to home for an alternative, as Bojinov is eager to leave Juventus.

Even in Serie B, the Bulgarian prodigy cannot find space with Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet and even Marcelo Zalayeta preferred ahead of him.

Bojinov shot to fame with Lecce as a teenager and was a flop at Fiorentina following his high-profile switch.

Loaned out to Juve in exchange for Adrian Mutu this summer, he has often criticised Coach Didier Deschamps for leaving him on the bench.

“Milan are interested in me,” Bojinov told the Italian media this weekend. “It’s not up to me, though. They have to negotiate with Juventus and Fiorentina.”

The Turin giants have an option to buy out half his contract by June 20 for £4m, but do not seem intent on doing so.

Meanwhile, Genoa are said to be tracking Bojinov's former Lecce teammate, Javier Chevanton, who is now at Monaco.

I hear Bojinov is a box player. In which case I don't see why we are even talking about him, when we have two of the best already.

Cassano I know for sure can play as a deep lying forward, so I guess Cassano is the lesser of two evils.

No he's not... (well I'm not quite sure). In any case we don't have two of the best, we have one that used to be in that league and another one who tries (hard(?)) to get into it... Still, we don't need another box player. I'd like to see RVN scoring when his @$$ is getting kicked. He's not THAT good.

Now why would you say that?? Have Giuve planned a swoop for RVN?

Also we judged Ronnie in the WC...same yardstick applied to RVN wouldn't make him a flop, no but definitely a dissappointment.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I'm just kidding. I know RVN has great skills, SAF was plain stupid to think Saha could replace RVN. And it is unfair to compare RVN and Pippo. Probably the only person who has less skills is Simone Inzaghi. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) j/k again.
