QUOTE (mchanna @ Dec 6 2006, 11:27 PM) Seriously, I'll expect we'll be knocked out right out, no matter who we will play. Even some Serie B club could knock us out, in this state we are. I'm ashamed of Milan letting me down. Still, Forza Milan per sempre!! The next round is going to be played in February. 'Till then the situation would have totally changed. Don't worry, after the Christmas break you're going to see a different Milan, I assure you of that. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) And han, I couldn't agree more with your post. It's all I've been saying the whole time, this was more of a training session than a real match. The guys didn't care at all, they probably had their heads on the Sunday match against Torino.

QUOTE (GULLIVER @ Dec 6 2006, 11:34 PM) I just think we sold this game. Nothing more. I think they even managed to get more money in ticket sales costing 1€ rather then selling them for the original price and only having a couple of hundrerds of people coming to San Siro. Right now there is nothing we can do but try and win at least 3 of the 4 Serie A fixtures we have left and wait to go into the christmas break. Hopefully we'kk get a couple of players back and a defender and a forward arrive. I hope it's a fullback and Suazo. I thinkSuazo could be tempted away for less then 8mil and try to get a decent full back that has an EU passport.

QUOTE (han2503 @ Dec 6 2006, 05:18 PM) I was reading through the posts and you guys made me laugh a bit (well the laughing was mostly at he way we played). Milan are known to n ot win matches they don't need to win, we didn't win the last 2 in the 02/03 season and neither did we win the last 2 of the 03/04 season. And I can't see why all of you where expecting something more from this especially considering the way we have been playing AND not even having to play for the first position since we already have won the group. The players didn't even try to win it, they where't even running they where just walking around and when we had the ball just put in a few string of passes (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) We practically fielded our second squad, and we only came down to play this match because you have to honour the fixture. It looked like they where going through a regular training sessiopn, everybody was taking it easy, even in the end of the match, nobody was even trying to hurry and take the free-kicks or corners, they were just jogging along to the corner flag, or taking a free kick that was in a good position shortly (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Kalac made some good save but their first goal was partly his fault and partly the fault of whoever it was that was supposed to be marking Lille's striker. What I'm trying to say is, just don't get worked up over this match I think everyone here knew what was going to happen in the first place. now i read some other things that make me laugh, well its understandable that milan never won the last two games on the ucl, when they were already qualified for the next round in first place, but im not agree with your comment, not because you posted, no, you make good posts bru, but if they have this feeling all time , why then they just can say , ''no why tha heck to play'' , we don;t give a damm .. what makes me mad, (sort of) its because real , played against dinamo, and real only had the second place , no watter what, and they were losing 2-0 and they never gave up, and real fans are just like milan's, they demand the best from them, and as you can se eventhought the entrance to the san siro was 1 euro, and the stadium was really quite empty, and there are so many things now, its like a cicle, like when shevchenko was just arriving to acm, we got nothig for like 4 years, and it seems that is beggining again, we have already two seasons with out any kind of silverware. Also they know the fans are pissed, not glad, why not win a game for them, just a questions , do you really think we can beat real, or barcelona , o any other world class team now ?? and be objective, dont think like a milanista , like we all do , but with you hand on your heart , we won be able to, until the team gets new players for the squad , and thats all the problem, if you have subs. is to replace a player if they gor injuried, suspenden or who knows, but we have a very short squad, so as you can see, is not only in the field were the team has problems, i dunno why the management haven't done a single thing, they are the in the heart of milan , and still they dont realize about this whole crappy mess ?? so at the end, i really hope this changes, it hurts to see my team losing, but losing this way, so patheticly, so saldy ... i hope it changes, nobody seems to hace the courage that they had before.

We had nothing to lose nothing to gain. Lille at least had big chance, and they used that chance, of course not without Milan's help (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

And I agree with what you said but you have to be objective about this and take our current situation into account. So what would you prefer that we will give our all in this and play for pride? Just so we can say "We won the game cause we are Milan" or would you like to let the players play complaicently in a match that has no significance to us WHAT SO EVER and conserve their energies for a much more important match in the weekend, that if we don't win we will continue to fall off the pace even more. For me, it's pretty obvious which one I would choose. And yes, they wheren't even trying to win this match imo, just by watching them play you could see what their intentions where, they where just running down the clock passing the ball around (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Dec 7 2006, 12:47 AM) Fact is we absolutely need reinforcements, especially a defender and a striker. Oddo and Suazo are by the window, we can take them for less then 20 million together. Really, if we don't sign at least a player this winter we're screwed. don't think that oddo will come.. as milan treated him... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) But yes, if we don't sign anybody/someone bad/few we are screwed

QUOTE (mchanna @ Dec 6 2006, 11:45 PM) Now just imagine the attendance if the tickets where sold for the regular price. It's just hard to fill up the San Siro to full capacity, when you compare it to most stadiums in England it is twice their size. So it would be twice as hard to fill to full capacity if it's not a big match. Like Stamford bridge for example, what's it's capacity, something like 40,000? And it's not always a full house. Now just imagine what it would take to fill a stadium that can hold over 80,000 spectators every weekend

Oddo and Suazo should be out January targets. They would come for probably less then 20mil€ together, like X said, some thing that should be well in our price range considering we just made 15 million pounds from qualifying from the group stages of the CL.
