I haven't read good things about the Croatian fullback we are in for. Not sure if this is a good movie. From the looks of it, he seems little better than Antonini. And Antonini loved the club, so he had that going for him.
What does Filippo think of Vrsaljko?

Well, I'm not sure either.
He's a natural right fullback who still has a lot to prove. He started well but the year prior his Genoa move he completely fell out of form and wasn't called up for the national team. I didn't watch him closely at Genoa, but he was more then solid when I turned in.
He could be another Antonini for all I know. With these fullback you never know. Oddo came in with us as a offensive fullback, yet he never managed to do just that. Antonini was highly praised and had a great season under Leo, then started rather badly. No one had anything bad about Mesbah or Constant to say, yet both turned out average or worse. So well, let's see how Vrsaljko will do.

Yes. Vrsaljko is nothing but a rotation player with potential, but at no cost a starter.
If we sell Abate we must get a real fullback to replace him. If we have a target, I'm all for it.

Maybe just cover for DS on the right, and Abate sold to free up room on the wage bill for a recruit somewhere else. I am curious about Inzaghi, every body at the club is talking about this enthusiasm and charge he is bringing. I hope it does not blow up in his face, as it did Seedorf (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) A third place birth is achievable, IF Italians start taking the EL seriously, we would have fresher legs to our opponents all the way through to the crucial last two months of the season.

I don't think they'll do that. Who's playing the EL again?

We're basically trying to fix last years mind-blowing deals like Matri. Bravo Galliani!

Loans aren't really solutions as we could easily still be stuck with them come next summer and they'll be a headache then as well. Let's all pray that Matri has a blinder at Genoa and we can sell him for decent cash next summer And I'm assuming Birsa to Chievo is a loan as well right? At least the roster is looking much lighter now. I believe Zaccardo is also on his way out

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jul 9 2014, 10:35 PM) No, Chievo purchased Birsa AFAIK.
EDIT: No, it's a loan. Even though I'm not happy about it being a loan, at least he's out of our hair for this season. Now Robinho and Zaccardo need to leave ASAP, and last I read Essien has offers from Turkey and we might actually earn decent money for him
