QUOTE (Danny @ May 27 2014, 05:52 PM) If Pippo is appointed our youth program just went to sh*t and so did the first team.
Yes, worse sh*t than it's already in.
An even worse appointment than Seedorf. The youth program started with Galli. It's been reaping dividends. In any case it's not our primavera that will be our salvation. The primavera is the output of a past stagnant program. They're too old and too long in the old system. Wait for the Allievi Nazionali and the soon to be reformed Beretti programs.

I want to laugh at how stupid this is but I can't even do that... so so sad. Galliani and Berlusconi are becoming more and more pitiful.

QUOTE (Danny @ May 27 2014, 03:27 PM) Just think Pippo was especially good at it. He was doing good, but really, as someone else mentioned. The current primavera is not the bi-product of our supposed new youth "project" We'll only see the fruits of that in later years. Although I think it's just a catch phrase Galliani likes to use to make them sound innovative and interested in bettering the club. I don't think there's any youth project. Pippo leaving the Primavera now won't make much difference, the players there are already past the point where training methods and such could be that much more influential on their development

QUOTE (Danny @ May 27 2014, 02:26 PM) I wanted a real manager. Why do we refuse to appoint one?! Because we'd have to pay him like a real manager. I can't agree with that, I see players in their 20s all over Europe that are tactically underqualified. I think that's something different Some of the best youth around right now are players who have been schooled at Clubs that start them out young. Barca and Dortmund come to mind. Yes, they're still at a young age and can learn, but they are past the years for the fundamentals to be learnt
