Pazzini, Matri and Robinho are a sheer waste considering their position in the squad, and expected play time each of these will probably be getting throughout the season. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) None should have been over 2m. Shaarawy at 2.4, well can't say, but the less said about Muntari the better. Abate, however, should be earning 2m or up.

The rest is standard affair, but some trimming in personnel is needed, agreed, Han.

Well, Napoli are only just now really signing top players who are already on big wages. But by next summer I expect that to sky rocket.

I just wonder how sustainable it is for teams like Fiorentina and Roma who won't be in the CL year in year out and unlike us and Inter, they don't really have strong revenue streams.

But let's face it, our biggest problem is Galliani here. Looking at how other teams structure their wages and then looking at ours is just atrocious stuff.

Giving a 1.2m per year for 4 years to Traore for example when no one had ANY idea what type of player he was aside from "midfielder" just shows you the type of strategy we're using in this department. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Napoli also have only 24 players on their first team. Galliani should call them and ask how such inconceivable thing is even possible (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Pazzini scored 15 goals for us last season in 30 appearances, a good part of which were not full games. I'd say he totally justifies his wage. Robinho and Matri are the real waste here, along with the various Birsa, Zaccardo, Coppola etc. who are just excess baggage.

Strategy? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) It shows that we have zero strategy in this department.

Nah, I'm not talking about his performance, which is top notch. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I was talking about his role in the team, and that is of a bench player instead of a starting one. And unless we get some serious injury again in the second half of the season, I doubt he would make the first XI. Agreed about Matri and Robinho, along with excess baggage.

All these players could be better managed, allowing us to sign a quality player in key positions every season.

Seriously. I wish I could get paid 200,000 euro for a year of doing absolutely nothing. Lucky guys.

Yeah, strategy was totally the wrong word. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Agreed about the wages. Pazzini though was not a bench player when we signed him so it's understandable. As for Robinho although 2.5m was not the sum quoted by Gazetta themselves when the renewal happened, it was higher, at least 2.5m is slightly more acceptable to the 4m he was earning last season.

Matri imo is the ultimate mistake. He shouldn't have been bought to begin with but to give him that kind of salary on top of the ridiculous transfer fee we paid is just mind boggling stuff, really wonder what sort of educational institution gave Galliani his Phd, I might actually apply there (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Yeah, it was a "gift".

So what's the contract expiration status? Which players are in the final year with their contract?

Last I read it was: Abate, Silvestre (end of loan), Coppola, Abbiati, Urby

I'd only keep Abate

Udinese are an admirable club. The way they're run is truly 2nd to none in my opinion.

Their wage bill is absolutely minuscule. How much do Di Natale and Muriel make?
