I don't like Bayern, they're as classless as it gets so I don't care how much they suffer.

Robben, however, doesn't come across as a bad person at all and I feel a bit sorry for him after the 2010 WC Final and last years CL Final, so I don't mind him scoring a winning goal. Overall I thought it was a good game, helped by the fact that there was only 2 defenders that could actually defend. Which is why I don't understand people thinking Ribery was good. He'll be lucky if he can find his way out of Pizsczek's back pocket in time for next season.


He fucked up not sending Ribery off, you can't get a huge decision wrong and have your performance called "quality".

Probably thought it was too early in the game for a controversy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) A second half assault like this, or even one in the dying minutes of the first half, and he'd have given it. That's not to say it was not a red. It's just that the referee let it past. He was good, all round, save for this incident.

This is probably my biggest issue with refereeing on the whole. You should treat every incident and every situation the same. He might think it's not fair to send someone off early - but then it's unfair on Dortmund that he didn't. It's like Webb in the 2010 WC Final not sending of De Jong because it was early.

Yup, well that's just how things are these days. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) I blame the player first and foremost. Even Dortmund had a red when Lewandowski stepped on and walked onto the legs of Boateng The Young.

I initially thought red, but on seeing the replay Boateng trapped Lewandowski's leg between his and all he even tried to avoid stepping on him.

Yes, he did, true. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Saw that on the rely myself. Idiotic from Boateng, but what are the officials going to do here. Most other cases it would have been a red, a violent and malicious action. If a red card was given, not many would have complained, just as not many are doing now when it wasn't.

In many ways the previous Ribery incident was similar along these lines. Anything slightly more severe from the Frenchmen, and the referee would have handed him a red, and no one would have complained. Touch and go decisions you can say, the officials only do have a split second to decide, after all.

Besides, I practically dislike finals with controversies, red cards and everything. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Just ruins the occasion. Unless, it's Zidane doing the head butting. Then it's iconic.

Sahin, then Kagawa, now Gotze and probably Lewandowki. I wouldn't be shocked to see Pizsczek ar Arsenal next season given that Sagna's forgot how to play football and he just seems like the type of player Wenger would like.

That's why I wanted Dortmund to win. Bayern have way more money and will be a contender in the next few years anyway, while for Dortmund to built such a great team is much more tougher and it will take them a while to regroup.

To be fair, Ivanovic scored at 92:13, while Robben scored at 88:20. That's almost 4 minutes difference (IMG:style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif)

Some comments:

- how on earth can you guys praise Rizzoli for his performance? First, Ribery should have got red, and it was not just the elbow but the whole charade afterwards on several occasions. Then, Dante should have got the second yellow after that dreadful incursion. Finally, Lewandowski should have got red or yellow as well, because - provoked or unprovoked - he stepped on Boatengs foot intentionally.

- Why is Bayern classless Kurt? What's wrong with Lahm's performance? I think he did a fair defensive job, and also got involved into attacking in second half when Robben was moved to the left. Schweini did however surprise with a very average performance. Martinez, Neuer and Manđukić were great, while Müller was bit unlucky.

Overall Bayern deserved to win. For most of this season they dominated and overall had a much better season the Dortmund. Yet, I do feel sad about Borussia. Who knows when they'll get another chance.

Agreed with your first point, Rizzoli bottled it big time on that Dante thing. He gave the penalty but not the yellow which is the biggest mistake you can make here. Had Dante not been already on a yellow he wouldn't have had a problem giving it to him. Thus, the occasion got to him and he didn't have it in him to make the right call in a big moment during a big game
