You guys call Robben a choker? what would that make Ribery?

-

Oh well... 3 finals in 4 yours, HAD TO HAPPEN.

They weren't as good as I'd expected, but they were still slightly superior. their chances were more dangerous even though they choked so nicely in the first for 20 minutes.

Btw, Rizzolli is usually **** in Serie A, but he did a good job tonight. gotta give it to him.

He'll win 1 CL in 3 years, 3 league titles and people will talk about how amazing he is. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I wasn't supporting either side, but you gotta admit it's only fair for Bayern to win. Another lost final would have been too much.

What did you guys think of the game?

Ribery was great tonight, and he's been great for the entire season.

Can we always have two German teams in the final, that was actually not deadly boring!

Haha, yeah, worst player on the pitch. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) At least Schweinsteiger and Lahm felt like they were trying. Ribery was just running up the wrong side and then tangling himself with other players. In fact, for the most part he has had little impact in this CL win, it's been other players that have stepped up.

He was pretty good in the lead up to the Inter CL final, however, which he missed after getting a ridiculous red.

Worst player on the pitch? Wow. There's differing opinions, and then there's just being wrong.

He was decisive in both goals, especially that back-heel in the second was fantastic.

Nope, I'm talking about his plays and potential impact. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) He was more into getting into opponent's skin rather than making a direct impact. If it were not for Robben's miraculous goal there was a fair chance Bayern players would have found the extra time more draining than Dortmund. That appeared to be the plan, in the final ten.

Both clubs were saving their substitutions and players, though still playing an active attacking game. That is what was so good about the final. But speaking of plans, maybe that was the gameplan for Ribery. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I've seen him more dominating. I just found his impact lacking overall, save for the key moments you mentioned.

And things like these often fire back. Big players are required to bring their biggest game for the final matches. Robben did (even with his saved chances in the first half), Ribery did not. At least that's what I think. Bayern should be thanking their stars they did not have to pay when a third final defeat would have been heartbreak.

If anything, the keepers were the reason this was not a high-scoring one. Bayern's keeper, the saves he made in the first half an hour, prevented Dortmund from mounting a 3 goal lead. And then Dortmund's keeper more than matched it. German really unearths some of the best stoppers, that's for sure.
