QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Nov 27 2012, 12:41 AM) Pato is reason enough to justify the sale of Pato. Whoever buys him is stupid, he's not worth what we will likely get at some point. lulz Robin Van Persie (incredible injury history and controversy) only cracked the 20 goal mark at 28 Wayne Rooney cracked the mark at 24 Drogba got there at 28 Christian Vieri at 27 Batigol at 24 Even Sheva only got there at 22 So did Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Torres Given Pato's injury history, and his scoring rate (the scoring RATE is world class no matter how you look at it); provided there's any possible way he can recover he on course to be at least more prolific than Most of the World's world class strikers. I'd say he's at least worth our patience until he's 24. It's also hilarious that you are a staunch Allegri fan but our number 1 hope doesn't get the benefit of the doubt (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 27 2012, 10:27 AM) Pato's problem is that he looks very stiff and slow, won't stay uninterested cause that's not the case. He should start playing for the team, like receive the ball, defend it or pass it and act like a true prima punta. Kinda like Pazzini. He's never going to be the old, fast-paced Pato that would beat anyone on one-on-one's. Those days are dead and gone. He should also be played regularly to regain momentum. He hasn't lost his pace. People used to say that regularly about Kaka, R9 even Arjen Robben when they got injured....and then saw it back after a prolonged time while playing fit. He needs a good run and it'll all fall into place...even the dribbling and beating his man. Allegri made a comment about Pato being too hot headed and that's the one thing I'll choose to believe from the charlatan...because I SEE him rushing things on the pitch. He wants too much while putting out too little (my gut feeling is that he's scared to re-injure himself). What we're left with is a lazy-looking half-@$$ed looking player who might not necessarily be as lazy or nonchalant. This is also why his passing is atrocious....always in a rush. He played slower when he just came to Milan, got involved in the play and turned on the afterburners when he had his chance. These days it just seems that he thinks he can sniff out a goal here and there without much movement, which isn't working at all.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 27 2012, 07:34 PM) Because his muscular structure has changed. Well, I'm not a doctor, but I'm sure this still can be fixed. Sure, he'll always be injury prone, but look at some of the players who managed to recuperate and maintain playing on the same level.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Nov 27 2012, 07:47 PM) Well, I'm not a doctor, but I'm sure this still can be fixed. Sure, he'll always be injury prone, but look at some of the players who managed to recuperate and maintain playing on the same level. Don't get me wrong, he could still recuperate and start playing on high levels again, although that's still doubtful. I just don't think that we'll ever see the old, quick Pato, who could easily dribble past many opponents, and who could even play as a winger like he did under Leonardo. The Pato of nowadays can only be a prima punta IMO. He doesn't have that acceleration and speed that distinguished him in the past, and I don't think he'll ever be able to regain those traits. Instead, he should use his physical strength, intuition and accuracy in front of the goal to his advantage in order to become a quality CF.

He's just soooo hesitant. That it is frustrating for you at home when you're watching on TV to accept. You can see that he's holding back on everything from really running through his paces, challenges and everything in between. That being said, I can't help but feel that I really cannot blame him for playing like he is as his very promising carreer has turned into a nightmare due to mistreatment.

EXACTLY!!!! omg I feel like hugging you (no homo) right now (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) The kid was doing EVERYTHING well, taking defenders off the dribble left and right, shooting from distance, passing well, taking and scoring f**king free kicks...and what we do? "hurr duurrh he needs to bulk up derp" People also forget that in his new body everything is different but I can't totally say that he's not trying. for starters he wouldn't have gotten all of this muscle if he himself wasn't hitting the weights. He'd have been really fat. It's sad that ppl neglect the mitigating circumstances and choose to guzzle the haterade instead (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Yet they have no problem getting behind the charlatan n00b who has shown pretty much NOTHING even in his iBra/Silva riddled success
