QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 17 2012, 01:30 AM) To be quite frank, I dislike Mexes. He's a dirty player (just remember the Coppa game) all Bonnucci with more class. He's injury prone, relatively old and has an annoying overall appearance. Annoying, my friend, is the flavor of the month at Milan. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Month after month. The days of Maldini, Nesta, Šimić, Shevchenko, Kaka and more are long gone, I'm afraid. The management seem pretty contend turning the dream into a nightmare. Silva was the only classy guy we had left, a few months back. Now it's oblivion. Maybe a new era will dawn where we'll have a similar show of grace as in early 2000s (or before). But I doubt it.

Yeah, but it's not only the management. Football in general lacks those types of players, almost everywhere.

Very true, and endless money has got a lot to do with it. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) But I didn't used to care much about football in general because I knew the values that you, me and countless other people cherish will always be upheld at AC Milan. And we had every reason to believe the traditions would continue, they did till 2007. And then wham! It's a bit like animated cartoons - classic characters like Popeye, Bugs Bunny, Woody Woodpecker etc were created in the early part of the 20th century, but still survived all through the 90s. At the dawn of 2000 something fundamentally went wrong with the world, I believe. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) The newer kids don't know a thing about what people before them used to love and cherish for 70-80 years. Tell me any modern cartoon that will stand the test of time. I know you'll have to think long to name a few. That's why I squarely (as in majorly) blame the management. If we had the foresight so should they. I can safely say we have no "classy" player left. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) Only Pato and Nocerino come close. The rest aren't even contenders - they're just annoying, opportunist, bad-mouthing, low-life, ungrateful, dirty little thugs or plain average talentless hacks. There. I said it.

Ha, great post and a nice parallel. But I don't think it's a definitive breakup. I'd say it's more of a phase.

Yet again linked with Pazzini. Oh gosh, this is so hard. Why don't we just call Paloschi back?

If Pazzini, Boriello and the worste, Matri are the option, then I'd rather we go for no one. Bring in another cretive mid and call it a day FFS! Don't waste money on mediocrity personified
