I don't think thats what Allegri is looking for. Your thinking of the old system where you have the ball winner in front of the defence and the creative mids surrounding him.

I don't believe Sahin being more advanced than Boateng will work very well.

Yeah I agree with you. Boateng is a much better player on top of the box than sahin. My main concern is: I just don't think we can go out with a midfield like we did last year, we'll be sitting back the entire game (against good teams).

We gotta use a system that makes our midfield press higher. Since Ibra and Cassano won't be doing any defending we need to win the ball earlier so we can continue putting pressure on them.

We have great forewards, but they need someone to do give them the ball.

Our weakest link, is the defense and midfield. With the exception of TS, we have no one noteworthy. Quality wise, we are far below in those two departments, in comparison to previous teams constructed under the berlusconi era, that is IMO.

Pirlo was not renewed for several factors, namely he did not feature enough due to injury in his last season and his economical demands did not match the clubs strategy. His quality as a player was never in doubt.

All clubs are looking at three years of restructuring, both in terms of the finances&budgets and squad structure. In previous years we could afford teams that had Shevchenko, Kaka, Rui, Pirlo, Seedorf, Gattuso, Inzaghi, etc in their prime. While now that has been reduced to what we have on hand.

Moving forward, Galliani has already prepared for this, thus the exit doors were openned to make-way for the new Milan. I believe we will bring in several good players, as this is what the club needs to challenge. If we don't, its expected that come May 2013, we wont have anything to show for.

Madrid seem very close to Modric. I wonder if they'll give up on Sahin if the deal goes through.

Yeah, apparently Modrić got Kaka's shirt number already, so the Brazilian will definitively leave.

Kaká leaving Real Madrid?

I honestly didn't expect that to happen.

What may his future be?

-Lille have completed the signing of Solomon Kalou on a free transfer. We were linked.

-Jordi Alba's agent has said that we were in contact with is client earlier in June but then we all of a sudden stopped without a reason. (I'm gonna guess we gave up on him as a deal with Barca so they don't go after Silva)

-Juventus have sold Elia to Werder Bremen.

-We are linked with Andy Carrol. Apparantly piersilvio wants him.

-Olimpic Lyon has told M. Cisskho, K. Kallstrom, M. Bastos and Cris that they are no longer needed at the club and to find a solution. Lyon is struggling financailly and is looking to clear some of its dead wood. We are ofcourse linked along with the rest of serie a.

-We are interested in signing Napoli's left back Andrea Dossena but according to his agent we are not willing to meet Napoli's demand for him. Reported price tag is less than 5m.

-Astori is on the verge of joining Spartak Moscow. Cellino (cagliari director) is finalizing the negoations.

For those who were interested in Seydou Keita, he is about to sign a contract with Chinese team Dalian Aerbin.

News:

-Galliani, Raiola and Allegri have met to discuss a possible move for a midfielder. They have pin pointed the list to 2 names. Nigel De Jong and Nuri Sahin. The first priority will be De Jong as their is a more realistic chance of acquiring him than the latter. Raiola will begin to work on him as he heads back to england. It is expected the move will take place sometime in august.

Reported price tag at this moment is unknown and what Milan's transfer budget is also unknown.

-Milan could make a move for Andrea Dossena if Taiwo departs. Gallian is expecting to fill the role departing Mesbah with Didac Vila. Taiwo is linked with a numerous clubs in England. Reported price tag 6m.

-We have been in touch with Ganso's agent. It appears Ganso has rejected Santos' new deal and could be on his way out. Santos have told Ganso that he will be transfer listed but he will be only let go at the right price. The press is suggesting we may use Robinho as a way of luring the talented midfielder to milan.

-Milan have decided to open up a soccer school in brazil in order to lure young upcoming players at an early age. The plan is now in the developing stages with no news on when it will be launched.

-There will be a meeting at milanello tomorrow. It is reported that Berlusconi may not attend.

How can our target be De Jong or Sahin? They're completely different players. I really don't believe anything the media says at the moment. Let's get back to it in August.
