QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Aug 23 2006, 11:51 AM) And I also forgot to mention, Galliani's words contradict eachother and you could call him a liar: Galliani: "Sheva will be replaced with an equal." Galliani: "If the deal(Ronaldo) is complete, we will be pleased, if not, we are happy with the players we have." gallianis a politician, all he brings is rhetoric. You'd think he was running for elections or something.

QUOTE (Portugal @ Aug 23 2006, 08:45 PM) Totally right. At the moment, I'm really dissapointed with the Milan board. We'll be fighting for the 3rd place in Serie A and to get to the quarter finals in the CL. You can write this down, SPECIALLY if Ronaldo join us. We need a young and quality striker to pair up with the other 2 that we got. Not a fat c_nt. It's a shame for Milan. A SHAME. Exactly. Oh and great new avatar pic Portugal (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

QUOTE (felipe_el_chileno @ Aug 23 2006, 10:08 AM) But how many time do we need to get Ronaldo in shape??? maybe 4 months, IF he doesn´t get injured again. And that IMO is a bet!! I really hope that right now, Galliani and Silvio are working hard to get reinforcements. You have to remember that a couple of months ago, WE DON´T EVEN KNOW IF MILAN COULD PLAY ON SERIE A, so the other teams are running with a HUGE advantage in the mercato. Just have some faith people!! we can crucify Silvio if we want, but ONLY when the mercato season is over. No matter what we do at this point its a gamble. Paying 20 million for Tevez or Torres is gamble in my book. They aren't guarenteed to be superstars in Italy. I do think its worth investing in one of them or both. Ronaldo is a gamble, and if we could get a good deal on him, its not the end of the world. If they 30 million pounds for him, I'd say its out of the question. But for 10 million euros, its nothing to Milan. He has the potential to be the best in Italy, but its a gamble. Again I'm looking realistically at the situation at hand. There were several players in this transfer market that I would pick over Ronaldo but its too late. Milan have sat back watching all big names slip away. Scheva scored again today---Chelsea lost---Its painful to watch.

And about Tevez and Torres, they haven't developed to their max. I think we MUST buy some young players, look at our stars. Pirlo, Gattuso and Kaká were all very young when they joined us, so was the Ukrainian. Ronaldos time is over, he won't be a superstar anywhere aynmore! Not in Italy, not in Spain, nowhere!

The single most important thing that any real Milan fan should know when it comes to the summer transfer market is that Galliani lies through his teeth. And why shouldn't he - he's great at it! I've lost count of how many times I've seen the "we're happy with what we've got" line, only for him to spring a suprise and bring in another decent player. We owe Berlusconi everything, otherwise we'd probably be fighting for promotion in Serie B. I agree that he sometimes makes strange comments etc, but he's always delivered in the transfer market. And if rumours are to be believed, it's not like he's not trying! 75m bid for Ronaldinho!! Let's not be so quick to jump of the back of the management, who in my eyes, have done an excellent job these last 3 or 4 seasons. If, come September 1st, we're still in the same position we're in now, then flame away! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) But at least give them a chance...
