QUOTE (Danny @ Jun 14 2012, 01:19 PM) What a fucking shambles. Scare the supporters by entering into negotiations, then decide not to pursue them and pretend it's a 'gift for the fans'. Haven't we seen this situation repeat itself over and over. Still, after this, I think we'll be seeing Silva sold within the next 2 years or so. QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jun 14 2012, 01:22 PM) Let's not cave in into this silly assumption that the whole Silva saga was just a mind game to "please" the fans, and see the truth for what it is: we're broke! We're as broke as we've been in recent years, but don't think for one second that the management don't try to make themselves look good with these "save the day" moments from Silvio, as we saw with Kaka If we manage to re-negotiate with Silva it would be a win, and at this point if we manage to get Aquilani on some sort of free it would be a bigger win. Forget about top quality, this is what we'll get this season and probably in the future. I think we should try to sell Robinho this summer. A club like Santos or Malaga would be willing to put in some decent cash for him

QUOTE (CrazyMilanFan @ Jun 14 2012, 02:18 PM) so silva agent has hinted that if he stays with Milan then we will need to discuss a new deal for him surprise surprise... Yeah, just read that, too. A rise at this point would be out of the question, considering he already earns €4,5 million, which is a lot for our standards. I don't think we've seen the last of this, yet. QUOTE (han2503 @ Jun 14 2012, 02:40 PM) We're as broke as we've been in recent years, but don't think for one second that the management don't try to make themselves look good with these "save the day" moments from Silvio, as we saw with Kaka. I don't care about that. If Silva is staying, I'd be happy as a clam. QUOTE (han2503 @ Jun 14 2012, 02:40 PM) I think we should try to sell Robinho this summer. A club like Santos or Malaga would be willing to put in some decent cash for him. I read that Robinho already refused Malaga's offer and is looking for a Santos transfer, if not this summer then in January. The problem is that Santos are not willing to offer €20 million like Malaga did. At this point, the most clever thing to do is take an option on Ganso, like sign him next summer for less than €20 million or something.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jun 14 2012, 03:52 PM) Let's not cave in into this silly assumption that the whole Silva saga was just a mind game to "please" the fans, and see the truth for what it is: we're broke! Sorry but that's exactly what they're doing. We've saved a lot on wages this summer with contracts ending, and there are also more immediate options to sell in Robinho and Pato. Why should we all of a sudden begin negotiations to sell our only untouchable and irreplaceable player AFTER having lost Nesta as well? that would have been a downright suicide. yea we need money but we need CL football more, we can't afford to weaken the team to the point where we put CL qualification at risk. From the very beginning I knew it'd end like this (ie just another Kaka-City (I admit Pato-PSG was serious and Galliani, that sly fox, had every intention of selling the Duck)), we couldn't and can't sell Silva this summer. yeah, we took their offer into consideration but some of you were too quick to begin mourning his loss (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Don't get me wrong, I think we may try to find an adequate replacement in the near future and cash in on Silva, what happened this summer was more like readying the fans for his inevitable sale. QUOTE (vahid @ Jun 14 2012, 04:37 PM) AC Milan News @Milanello Thiago Silva's entourage reportedly wants Milan to give Thiago Silva an annual salary of €7 million (IMG: http://www.milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Technically Best Defender In the World deserves €7 million. I think now that he's set to stay it's crucial to offer him a new improved deal, that would only drive away future suitors a bit.

Agreed I think with the departure of all those players, some of which earning in excess of 4m per season, it can be done. I'd at least give him 6m. 4.5m is what players like Flamini were on FFS!

Exactly. The people we have let loose don´t do much for us by themselves in reducing the losses. Perhaps you can make a claim that they reduce operating expense. BUT PLEASE...stop treating what was essentially a necessity as a big step forward. We have achieved nothing yet!
R7: Do we have debt?? I can´t find any clarity on this at the moment. My assumption is that AC Milan being a wholly owned subsidiary of Finninvest has no debt by itself, but it is possible that the company Finninvest has got debt? Do we have financials for them?
