QUOTE There are reports Thiago Silva is in Paris to complete his PSG transfer and the Milan man assures “money is not an issue for me.”
The Brazilian defender had been told only last week that he was “not for sale,” but today Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani was spotted in Paris.
“It is not final. I am here just to talk,” said Galliani before a meeting with PSG director general Leonardo.
There are now reports that Thiago Silva has been seen in Paris too, as France Football claims he is in a hotel near the Champs-Elysees with his representatives.
The deal would be worth €42m plus another €5m in bonuses, added to a contract worth €12m per season.
“I don’t think about money, as that is not an issue for me,” Thiago Silva told magazine Chi.
“My strength is my family and above all God. I am a devoted Christian and also have a tattoo on my arm confirming I am a son of the Lord.
“In our Brazilian team we have in my view one of the top three strikers in the world, Alexandre Pato. I only hope he rediscovers his fitness.
“I send a sincere wish of good luck to the Italy side and my part-Italian, part-Brazilian, part-crazy friend Antonino Cassaninho. He’s a phenomenon.”
Cassano spoke in a Press conference today at Euro 2012 and said it would be “a crime” for Milan to sell Thiago Silva.

This is getting ridiculous, and really smells of the Kaka to City thing. I'll wait it out.
The players themselves and the fans are already up in arms about this, Silvio and Galliani will be shooting themselves in the foot if they sell Thiago. The repercussions of this deal could be huge imo.

QUOTE (Dracoris @ Jun 12 2012, 10:19 PM) IMO no amount of money is going to be able repair the hole he will leave. I like the idea of signing Dede, I watched a few youtube videos and he looks very good but unfortunately he won't have the blessing of having Nesta tutor him for 2 or 3 years. True, yet how can Milan afford to pay him 12MM annually, and on top of that, how can Milan refuse such an offer? I remember Shevchenko's moved caused a lot of raised eyebrows. I'm sure Shevchenko would have stayed had Milan matched Chelsea's offer. We simply couldn't, same was the case for Kaka. Heck even Pirlo, we couldn't match the tenor of the contract. It's the policy of the club I guess. Or I'll try to play this senario; the whole Silva-to-PSG ordeal, it might be an attempt by Galliani to persuade other bidders at a price of 50MM or above. Maybe Barcelona? Or ... Juventus? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) Bottoms-up, I truly believe no player should be worth such an amount. Van Basten, the best striker in all of the universe at the time, and one stupid tackle, and his value as a player was reduced to zilch. Now Silva comes along at 10MM only two years ago, and now is being asked for at 50MM? Seriously, he is two years away from 30, we'd be lucky if valued at 20MM by that time. And yet that reported 12MM salary is convincing enough, we can't pay that kind of money. And I'm sure Thiago Silva is the one to agree or decline PSG's offer. QUOTE On 12 June 2012 it was reported that the vice-president of Milan Adriano Galliani was attending a meeting with Paris Saint-Germain F.C. sporting director Leonardo Araújo but it was latter that day when A.C. Milan President Silvio Berlusconi announced that Thiago Silva (footballer) will be joining PSG in a €48 million + €5 million bonus transfer. Making this fee the highest amount , a team had ever paid for a defender. QUOTE (William405 @ Jun 12 2012, 02:39 PM) Do you really think we've reached that state? No,I doubt it.Just, the thiago silva offer is too good to be refused...well in galliani's perspective.I think what you're saying is a massive overeaction. No we are not going to sell all of our players to reduce way...I predict things will stay the same. Its not so much our state that will effect it, it will more of a domino effect. usually when you sell a key player in your squad, it causes a negative effect in the dressing room and players become upset/uneasy etc etc.. Clubs usually address this by saying "look we've lost an important player but we will be replacing him with one of equal quality or better." This lifts the dressing and room and makes players want to continue with the club. --- In our case its more were selling players to balance the books and we will not be bringing in any quality players. This screams out sinking ship in which most players, especially mercenaries like ibra will look to abandon ship sooner than later.
