What's up with Giaccherini starting FFS? And is that really a 3-5-2 formation with Motta as one of the 3 in defense? A 3 man defense with 2 out of the 3 being idiots. This is going to get ugly... (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

QUOTE (Jack Bauer @ Jun 10 2012, 04:26 PM) Iniesta, Silva and Cesc could do enough damage... I don't think it really matters for them if a striker is playing. That midfield could run rings around the likes of Giaccherini, Motta and Bonucci

QUOTE (Jack Bauer @ Jun 10 2012, 04:38 PM) Still, you would expect at least one pure striker. Still, a goal for them will most likely be easier to come by than for Italy. Anyway, here's to hoping for at least a good showing that gives the Azzurri hope for the rest of the group. And let's see if this 3 man defense BS blows up in Prandelli's face big time. I think we all saw how it could backfire when it's up against top quality opposition with Napoli, and not your regular run of the mill mid-table teams

Who would have thought that Italy's best defender would be De Rossi? The others are mostly playing like headless chickens when Spain get into the box.
This 3 man defence thing neees to he scrapped ASAP
