De Jong played like crap, I expect Marwijk to bring in Strootman against Germany or Portugal.

Cesare would never do that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Cesare would never call him up in the first place (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Oh, like I said, perfectly fine. smile.gif We do get carried away sometimes, all of us do. Personally? I've disliked the guy every since he gave that roundhouse kick in the World Cup. But I do try to stay in the safe zone, just for sanity's sake. For me, even if you set one foot in the dark side, you're practically out of the good one.

For this reason alone, I do what's worth doing, talk what's worth talking and walk what's worth walking. The rest I just throw out of the window, makes it easier (and well, faster) to discriminate between the good and the bad. wink.gif I did remember one of your very earlier post where you objected to player being called the "crap" word.

But truth be told, can't really blame you. laugh.gif You've had to take huge doses of not just, shall we say, ungraceful players, but even substandard coaches in Milan these past few years. I do know for a fact how you loved and admired (and still do, I am sure) the earlier classy look of our club. The Billys, Maldinis, Kaka, Shevas, Carlos and more.

It is always good to have a moral dimension. As for Milan, seems that our fall in class and quality did affect me. What astonishes me most of all however is you memory, it seems impeccable. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Why, thank you! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) I do try to remember the good stuff, as much as I can. For me it's inspiring. What this means that while I'll remember all the small good details from you (or someone else for that matter), I'll close up the bad ones in a box up in my brain. Keeps my morals going in a world that's losing them fast. And besides, I can't remember all the details, might as well record and cherish the good ones for starters. Not just on Internet forums, even in real life, everyone I meet.

Not that you've ever behaved badly, at least since I was here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) You're practically the nicest guy around here. I still remember how you took minutes to create threads for past Milan players that passed away. Anyone can do that, but then again anyone doesn't. It takes a good heart to stop for a minute and pay respects to the ones that passed away earlier than us. Like I said, all small things that define a man.

Then again, like I said, I can imagine coming from one environment of class and grace and sportsmanship (a few years back, we did not win all matches, but Milan conducted itself brilliantly on and off the pitch) to the hard and fast one of today can affect - and has affected - many a fans. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Not you, even the vintage (should we really be calling the 2000s vintage now) fans I know don't like this new AC Milan.

I haven't been nearly as affected, but then again, I was the one screaming for a gradual change for ages now. Gradual change as in one senior player retiring every year, and a new replacement coming in and integrating. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) It wouldn't have been a sudden change, a radical new look, and our soul would have been kept intact. But then again, the higher ups at the Milan management know (or at least think they know) better. Good on them, I say!

Oh well, enough talking about you, me and the old Milan. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Let the transfers begin! May they be good ones this season, now that our central core has retired. Peace.

He's no better than Antonini. It's quite baffling, really. Napoli get Cissokho and offload us Dossena. How come clubs like Juve, Inter, Napoli, Roma, Lazio etc. have the money to make important signings, but we don't? Someone explain to me.

A question, sadly, my friend, I've been asking for years on now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Sure, we don't have cash to splash every year, but at least after 2-3 seasons make some good moves for once. And we are supposedly one of the top most clubs in the world, let alone Italy. Even this January we did diddlysquat, when it was clear we needed players to keep up.

And guess what, it resulted in us losing the Scudetto. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Very, very horribly I may add. Very, very horribly.

I look at it this way: those Lazio/Napoli/Roma boards are very dispensable; Lotito in Lotito out - just remember Checchi Gori at Fiorentina or the Cirio thing with Lazio. Many of them live on credit, loans and virtual money - near bankruptcy. Inter hasn't spend real money for quite some time.

Juventus? One word/acronym my friend: FIAT

Great post, but just one thing - old Milan should never be forgotten, therefore you should speak out your mind, even if it takes 10 more pages (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Well said! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/king.gif) You forget the old, pretty soon you won't care for the new one either. Or the future for that matter. Sure, that's no reason to keep on living in the past, but really I firmly do believe all club fans should find out, research, watch matches, read up on their club's history and everything, as much as they can.

And well, old Milan isn't going anywhere. I still adore the 80s/90s Milan, this last one is still very recent and fresh.

L'Equipe claims Thiago Silva is very close to signing with PSG, who've offered us an amount between 40 and 50 million. Thiago is already in Paris and will sign his new contract on Wednesday.

Link

Thoughts? I call it bullshit. There's no way Galliani is that dimwitted to sell our best player at this particular moment, even for such an amount. But if it turns out to be true, words would fail to express my disappointment.
