I think you will find more correlation with what I am saying once you convince yourself that Gattuso and Seedorf don't sneak onto the pitch and stay there to guarantee a first team spot. They actually go train with 30+ players of the squad and are chosen by the coach to start, or coaches if you will.

I do understand that there is a peak and decline to every player's career and that all those that have left us (or leaving) are on a decline. However, when the club renews their agreements and lets them stay for another 2 years, does that mean Seedorf or Gattuso is at fault? Hence we have to go and chastise them for staying?

Milan swap Robinho for Ganso?

Milan are said to be lining up a meeting with Santos talent Ganso’s agents later today with a price-tag of around €20m – or Robinho.

The young Brazilian creative midfielder has long been linked with a move to Serie A, as the Rossoneri, Inter, Roma and Juventus are among those who have shown an interest.

It is widely reported that agent Tiago Ferro, whose company owns 55 per cent of his contract, is in Italy this weekend and will meet with Adriano Galliani later today.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Santos would be prepared to release Ganso for around €20m.

Milan hope to reduce the price-tag by including striker Robinho as part of the deal, as Santos already declared their interest in the former Manchester City and Real Madrid hitman earlier this month.

Robinho has already played for Santos in his career and would be welcomed back as a star in his native Brazil.

well if we bring in Strootman, Ganso and keep Aqui than we can probably say that our midfield is ok for next season considering that Traore guy, Monto, Prince, Urby and Ambro, plus Flamini if he extends.

But if we sell swap Robs, I think we'll need to think about bringing in another striker...

Ibra, Pato, Cassano, El Shaa and Maxi... hmm, don't know if that's enough considering the injuries and El Shaa is still not the most reliable option

There was talk of a reduced wage for Aqui which could swing things his way. While the 8m price tag for Maxi is definately way too high

I don't think we need Aquilani, at this point I'm free to say that his contribution is minimal. We can buy any midfielder with a bit vision and it would suffice. There's absolutely nothing special in this guy.

Aquilani was our best assist man after Cassano before he got injured. He was doing great for us before that.

Aquilani must be the most underappreciated Milan player currently.

To reference the conversation that was just happening, you talk about Milan like it's such a horrible place to play. The thing that sticks out in my mind proving how wonderful of a place it is to play was when van bommel was in tears about leaving us after a mere year and a half. That to me gave me great confidence in our beloved Milan.

Current conversation, I agree aquaman was fantastic for us the beginning of the season and just needed time to gel back into the team after his injury, but he who must not be named decided that wasn't a good idea for whatever reason.

Aquilani was our best assist man after Cassano before he got injured. He was doing great for us before that. The injury set him back and whether Allegri was keeping him out because of the 25 game clause or because of petty reasons is yet to be seen. But if we don't sign him we'd still need someone else. Don't forget that Seedorf is most likely on his way out as well
