Bilbao players were crying like, well, little crybabies till the very end. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Sad sight. They really wanted to win this. But the best team won. Falcao was a beast in this, almost got a hatrick. Well deserving of his very high price-tag. And more importantly, an all-round entertaining match, even though it was a one-way traffic when it came to goals.

Diego got a 3rd one in the end, with a very, very nice run, and accurate left-foot shot. Why didn't we sign him?!

Feel bad for them. They'll probably lose both Finals they got to now, shame after such a good season.

Yeah, nice gestures from the Atheltico Madrid players though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) They were consoling them, instead of celeberating, and even gave them a guard of honor. Respect. Even though they decimated them 3-0, I can still see football is alive in the UEFA Cup - free from the criminal politics of a certain Mr. Platini.

To think when Angel was at Villa he recommended Falcao to us and we decided against it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I completely forgot about this, watched only the last 10 minutes. Shame, looked like an interesting game.

Well, the commentator was going on about what an exciting match it was, so I assumed... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Why not?

I did enjoy it. Sure, Madrid had a 2-0 lead soon and there wasn't much for Bilbao to do. Yet they tried and died trying. I respect that.

Exactly, same here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I enjoyed it too, it was relatively care-free football, a free-flowing game, even though one side completely dominated, the other really tried up until giving away the 3rd goal to get back in the game. Bilbao sure were giving their all up until the 70th or 80th minute, and surely looked like they had a genuine desire to win.

And frankly, it looked like a final, felt like a final, not one of those uselessly boring CL group stage matches.

Falcao, and I knew this prior to kick off, I think is the first player to reach 2 successive EL finals with different clubs. He's definitely the first to win it with 2 successive different clubs.

tbh while clearly AM wasn't the worst move ever, and they're in the CL next season, he should be at a better club.

Falcao has possible made himself one of the top 10 strikers on earth, possibly top 5.

Two finals he's now owned.

He should be at an elite club and I can't see it being long before he has a CL winners' medal either.

I think Chelsea will desperately try to sign him this summer.
