He better work on his crossing though. His runs are amazing. Top class. His covering is average...and his crosses are substandard. Right footed bloke playing on the left...

QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Mar 30 2010, 07:04 AM) Right footed bloke playing on the left... Yup... only God is good enough to do that at a world class level for 25 years! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

God was two-footed. Shame on you for thinking he's less than perfect. You ought to be ex-communicated.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Mar 30 2010, 10:34 AM) Playing on the 'wrong side' is no excuse really. I cnsider myself very right footed yet have pretty much always played on the left. Sure, I try to do as much as I can with my right foot but can still pass/cross with my left and I'm miles away from ever being close to professional, so for somebody who plays for one of the Worlds biggest clubs to not be able to put competent crosses in with his 'wrong' foot is a bit sad. its wierd but i agree i mean i like right footed left backs for e.g when santon played against united at lb he was awesome and also the likes of phillip lahm at LB now an then doesnt really matter what foot you are as long you get the job done messi = RW - i know antonini is no messi LOL but there are many examples of right footers on the left an vice versa FORZA ANTONINI

Well if you're playing on the wrong side of your foot, either you're a dribbler who cuts onto your strong foot..or you can cross with your weaker foot.
Antonini doesn't do either that well.
I'm not saying he should be sold, just that there are facets he needs to work on really hard, coz I don't want us to spend money on a new LB, when we can improve the one we've got.

He worked on his left foot to turn into a LB. Of course he is perfect, he would not be able to do that if he was not. Well yeah..obviously. Few people are 'born' two-footed. But he was good with both..and Luca should be working harder is my point.

QUOTE (Fishdoll @ May 3 2010, 09:27 PM) The intensity and heart Antonini plays with has totally won this fish over. Even though he ended up out of position a couple of times on Saturday, I've got to give him a major fins up. He's done really well this year and I, er, might even have given a little fishy cheer when he was first one sprinting out of the tunnel for warmups. Agreed. I think we'll see even more improvement from him next season, he's obviously a late bloomer and just the ammount of effort he puts into each game is awesome. Not to mention the chemistry he and Dinho have...
