Leo never really had the locker room from day one. He was a lame duck the instant he took the job.

Why do you think so?

I agree with her.

IMO its because of going from carlo to leo is just too big a drop for some people to adjust too. As soon as they saw his training methods/tactics/formations etc he never really had their 100% total respect.

But who can blame them, Leo isn't a coach ready to step up to the plate. So the players probably pretend to respect leo out of respect for B&G.

In my view Leo would now that... he only recently stopped playing and he knows these guys very well... if they did not respect him he would know and he would have gone, maybe not right from the start but surely he would have gone after all these bad results.

Why do you think so?

Because Leonardo, a coach with ZERO experience, was saddled with a team that looks and plays like its parts were bought at a garage sale.

It doesn't help that Berlu is plainly going to use him as the fall guy in order to cover his own rear for his lack of investing in reinforcements.

These are all true but I don't see how it makes you believe he never had the locker room.

i almost don't wanna feel sorry for leo, wise&experienced coaches always negotiate comfortable terms before taking the job, stuff like a decent transfer budget to be spent at his discretion, the players he wants to clear out etc.
he just rushed in thinking what? he had the magic wand to wave and turn things around for good?
he pretty much thought he'ld only have to convince kaka to stay not knowing berlusconi already accepted the madrid bid, then he publicly said he wanted fabiano but instead after the fiasco he got huntelaar. seems obvious he's just being toyed with...... not very wise..

We have too much faith in some of the players I think. I was always putting blame on Carlo for his defensive minded tactics and didn't think he was all that much. The way Chelsea have played this season suggests it's more the players than the manager. When Chelsea do something poorly it's generally an error by an individual, something you can't put on Carlo. He's done well here so far, despite having a moron in goal.
