Why are we still looking at the rightback position. Shouldn't we focus on LB. Or are we figuring to put Zambrotta on the left.

QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Aug 24 2009, 09:35 AM) Why are we still looking at the rightback position. Shouldn't we focus on LB. Or are we figuring to put Zambrotta on the left. common y'all the stuff bout the blue&mods when on too long, imo blue left just one post for kurt to see, nothing serious.. i don't think anyone who joined this forum really wanna start long AV threads on ouR transfer pages. lets keep it simple... suddenly i'm not so sure we need to spend much on either a r/lB so seriously, think leo should instead work on getting steady consistent performance form the guys we have, a decent young understudy will suffice, like inter have with santon. oddo should leave if a decent offer comes in though, nothing against him... he also needs playing time

TMW have practically confirmed that De Silvestri is completely off the table for us. Galliani is just a complete idiot. Fiorentina will probably get him for as little as 5m and we can't even match that. What is this world coming to?

QUOTE Lazio's Lorenzo De Silvestri Undergoing Medical With Fiorentina - Report
Fiorentina are set to beat off interest from Juventus and Milan to complete the signing of Lorenzo De Silvestri from Lazio.
The Viola are believed to have met the €8 million valuation, while La Repubblica reported over the weekend that the talented right-back has agreed personal terms on a five-year contract.
Sky have now revealed that the 21-year-old is currently in Florence undergoing a medical with the Gigliati medical staff, and if all goes smoothy an official announcement confirming the deal will be made in the coming hours.
The signing of De Silvestri would be a huge boost to the Viola, as they have been pursuing a right-back for much of the summer. The Lazio youth product also has a reputation as one of Italy's most promising defenders.
De Silvestri will now hope to supplant Gianluca Comotto at right-back for the Tuscan side in order to gain the playing time that he craves.
Provided that the move goes through, Lazio president Claudio Lotito will be pleased to have offloaded one of the 'rebels' in the Biancocelesti team. It is expected that Goran Pandev, who has given the Aquilotti some considerably bad press recently, will follow De Silvestri out of the door at Formello.
goal.com Well thats pretty much done, sighhhh....

QUOTE Juventus Step-Up Bid To Sign Schalke's Rafinha As Milan Join The Hunt - Report
Juventus could be hurried into a move for Schalke defender Rafinha as the news has broken that Milan are also interested in the promising right-back.
Reports are suggesting that if the Rossoneri offload Massimo Oddo to English outfit West Ham United, they will open their wallet to sign the former Coritiba player.
The Brazilian right-back has been a long-term target of Juventus, who must sell Zdenek Grygera before buying a replacement.
However, Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that the Bianconeri's sporting director, Alessio Secco, will meet with Rafinha's agent today to discuss the transfer further.
The Old Lady are now believed to be ready to meet Schalke's €10 million valuation, which would ward off a rival bid from Leonardo's Milan.
Meanwhile, the Bianconeri are also considering whether to follow up their initial enquiries regarding Fabio Grosso. Olympique Lyonnais are ready to listen to offers for the 31-year-old, but are yet to hear anything concrete from the Juventus hierarchy.
goal.com yeah 10m, good luck with that (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Mediaset is reporting that Milan are looking into a trade with West Ham. Oddo for French RB Julien Faubert. Sounds like it'd be a straight trade but, as ever, it depends on whether Oddo is okay with the transfer. http://www.sportmediaset.it/mercato/artico...colo26009.shtml

QUOTE (Bluesummers @ Aug 24 2009, 12:46 PM) La Palma, could you shine some light on the rafinha issue as you probably know more about it than the majority here
MERRRCCIII There is no way that Rafinha will leave Schalke, main reason is Magath coes when he sign contract with Schalke they didn't gave him the money for transfers (7Mil € count as nothing) but they promise him that they will keap the curent squad for at least 2-3 years + next year he get money for transfer. I think we will go on Zaccardo which is really bad player, Srna would be good option and he is not too expencive eather (10 - 15 Mil €).
